Quid Pro Quo

The Outlander smiled put his hand in the small of her back. "I'm guessing you don't mean another bottle of brandy."

Hylo snuggled in. "Something just as sweet, with a lot more kick," she said.

"I wouldn't mind a taste," the Outlander said.

The Mirialan woman leaned in and kissed him deeply, the sweetness of the brandy tasting even stronger from her mouth, and he unbuttoned her shirt, his hand moving along the sleek black fabric of her undershirt, up to the swell of her breast. She broke the kiss off and gently pulled his hand away. "Mmm, much as I'd like to keep going, I need to get back to work, and you've got a job to do. See me later, though, either way," she said. She kissed him again, softly, then rose from his lap and buttoned her shirt back up most of the way.

The Outlander stood up and headed for the door.

"Don't forget the brandy," Hylo said.

"Keep it here. We'll have another round later," he said with a confident grin.

He headed out of the Underworld Logistics center, and looked around for Vette. She was still in the Command Center, and was just finishing up a holocall when he walked in.

"Hey, Commander. Back from fighting those pirates, huh?" she asked.

"Yeah, nothing I couldn't handle. How's it going here?"

"Oh, the usual. Making connections to move goods and supplies where we need them. Trying to get some of the Twi'lek relics Arcann took as tribute back to Ryloth," she said.

He nodded. "A good cause."

"Yeah, but not an easy one. Even after the fall of the Eternal Empire, collectors were quick to snatch up what they could, everywhere from Zakuul to Korriban to Nar Shaddaa. Tracking them down was bad enough, but trying to get people to give them up, it's like pulling teeth from a Rancor."

"Well, if you're ready to give the orthodontics a break, how about we go for a drink in the Cantina?"

"Sure, the Rotworms and Frogdogs are playing, we can watch on the big screen room," she said with a smile.
