Put it on her

With clumsy hands you try to drape the cloth over her, she shrinks away from you like you touch will burn her. However you eventually manage to cover her with the cloth.

You feel like you did the right things and move over to the deer you had left over. Sitting down to eat you watch her, she watches you right back with wide eyes. After awhile she starts to shiver even under the cloth.

Pulling it tighter around herself doesn’t seem to help any as she shivers like a leaf in a storm.

With your thick fur and size you hardly feel the cold of the air but you get the feeling that humans like her feel it much more than you do. You recall how the Elders had often slept in a pile with their females during the cold times.

You wonder if you should try something like that.
