Put it away, they need to talk

Looking up at Stacey, you feel like shit as you see your beautiful girlfriend sitting before crying, fearfully looking at you. "I'm going to do this" you say, standing up and walking to the dresser. You place the marker down on top of it and turn back to face the bed. Immediately you see the fear in her eyes melt away and she begins to sob heavily again, tears begin flowing down her cheeks.

Climbing back onto the bed you sit in the middle facing Stacey. You stare at her for minute, watching her cry before you as you collect your thoughts. "Come here babe." you say caringly, opening your arms wide towards her. She throws the pillow away and scrambles forward into your arms.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry" she sobs repeatedly into your chest her arms wrapping tightly around you. You close your arms embracing her and kiss her hair. You wait patiently for her to settle down, trying to decide on which question to ask her first.

She beats you to it. "Why aren't you angry with me Finn" she quietly asks, pulling back to look up at you.

"I am angry with you Stacey." you reply, your temper rising at the thought of what she did. "How the fuck did you think I was going to react to this" you spit, pointing at the writing on your chest.

"I thought you'd be ok with it." she says, putting her hands on your chest. "I thought the marker would make you like it Finn, I mean, I did." She rapidly spews out.

You pause, words stuck in your throat as you try to comprehend her response. "What the fuck Stace. You know damn well how I feel about that. It's a total goddamn fucking turn off to me. What in the world made you think that I'd be ok with that." Grabbing her arms you push her backwards and away from you. As you release her arms, they splay outwards in an effort to arrest her fall.

A flash of black on her left forearm grabs your attention, and as she scrambles backwards once again into the headboard, you manage to read the word written on her arm and it dawns on you. "AAHHH FUCK" you groan loudly as you let yourself fall backwards to crash down onto the bed. Your anger towards Stacey is suddenly turned inwards at yourself at your revelation that it was you who had enabled her to do this.

"I'm sorry baby" you pant out sincerely. "It was me. I'm a fucking idiot". You let out a few deep breaths, cursing yourself mentally for forgetting your first test. "I changed you Stacey...……… your not you, and I need to fix it before anything else."

You feel the mattress rock as she crawls forward slowly to look at your face. "What are you babbling about Finn?"

"Will you come with me Stacey? and I'll show you." you say, lifting your head to look at her staring down at you. Slowly, you extend and hold your right hand out towards her, pleading with your eyes for her to take it. "Please babe." You exhale in relief as she reaches out and takes your hand.
