Chapter 8

Pursue, or Break off?
Pursue.
In the coming months nights are exciting. You both sneak about the castle climbing into high windows and snaking down sheer towers. It is the happiest you have been, despite being in captivity. She brings you splendid food, and creams for your chain chafes. It was all quite good.
...
One day the fair maiden Sophie of saffron locks glumly moped on her bed as you crawled in. Astutely you inquired about her mood. A terrible fate had come back to haunt her. She was to be wed to the Baron of Kiev, Vladimir.
"I have two plans, but I do not know which is less foolish..." Her hesitancy is overshadowed by her conviction in your relationship.
Her first plan is to stay as lovers while sneaking around. It would require her gaining the rights to own you from her Uncle.
Alternatively the second plan requires you to be placed as her personal servant. As per custom she is allowed one **** from her birth house to accompany her as a personal assistant.
Plan 1 or 2?
