Professor Birch

The professor stood in the tech lab doorway, thin black glasses edging down the bridge of his nose as he scolds Jay. The salt and pepper black hair matches his black and white lab outfit and his gun grey clipboard

'I'm.. so sorry Professor, I was just..' Jay stumbles in explaining.

A smirk breaks his scold when he interjects '.. You were just taming a level 60 dragon type champion over a broken healing bay.'

'And having her abandon Cynthia to bond with him.' You chime in. Birch looks to you and nods, 'That actually doesn't sound as crazy as it should' You laugh as he acknowledges that Cynthia doesn't know how a real tamer should bond with a pokegirl.

You start to sit down at your work chair before Professor Birch asks, 'Remy, I actually wanted to ask if you could do a field job.. the HP training machine needs to be reconfigured for a new host.'

A somewhat strange request from what you normally do, you ask 'ok.. isn't that a job for Training Services though?' Birch sighs before explaining, 'Those fools can't figure out the new model and we really need it ASAP. Would you mind?'

'Sure thing.. Jay, think you can wheel that healing pod back to the center without setting it on fire?' Jay pulls back his hair as if thinking deeply, '... I promise nothing.' He answers with a straight face. You both have a laugh as you pack up for a field config. The professor walks up and hands you a bag with some items in it - a 10 pack of spicy orange Figy Berries, a Pink Bow item and a handful of pokeballs.

'What's all this for?' You ask, looking at what seems to be a specialized Tamer starting kit. The professor simply states 'It's a package that I want you bring along.'

'Sir, I could get in big trouble if someone caught me with Pokeballs, I'm not licensed..' you explain with concern. He gestures by waving it off as if its not an issue, 'Anyone stops you, you just tell them I sent you with them.' You nod, not entirely sure what he wants to do with them but excited to even have them near you.

You grab your pokedex, bags and tool kit to head upstairs. Professor Birch wishes you the best of luck as you head up the long, dark staircase.
