Gesturing for Una to follow you, you take the turn and delve deeper into the cave once more. The tunnel is bumpy and winding, and you quickly lose the light from the main passage. Calling upon your magic, you produce a small ball of fire in your palm and hold it out to light the way. Una's eyes gleam with admiration from her spot tucked against your side, fascinated as always by your spell crafting ability.

The air gets dank and stuffy as you defend farther and farther into the bowels of the Earth. Your starting to worry that you may have made a bad call, when you trip over large mushroom. The stumble breaks your concentration and your flame extinguishes. In the immediate darkness, you see all around you large fungi glowing a strong pale green in the dark ahead.

You are fascinated by the phenomenon, but to wary to stop and inspect the mushrooms closely. You press on slowly, guided by the glow of the lichen around you, careful not to step on any of it.

A little ways on you see another branching pathway. Una tugs on your elbow, and reflexively you allow her to pull you down to huddle with her behind a pile of rocks. After a few moments of settling down, you hear what she did: a soft but constant scrabbling, growing steadily closer.
