Proceed deeper.

The cave continues even farther, and it descends even deeper underground. Though it isn't long before it starts to branch different directions. There are three paths to take, but as you ponder where to go, Snow takes the initiative and steps forward. He ears twitch, she sniffs, and then she looks down one specific tunnel to the right. Her eyes seem intent on that direction.

You raise you torch and look into the darkness. "What's up?" you ask.

"I... sense something," she whispers. "I can't explain, but my attention is being drawn this way. I can't even consider another path. It could be something magical in nature, so we best we careful."

"Maybe it's what drew the elemental here too," Yin adds.

"Whatever it is, we'll take it down," says Taiga. "Preferably with a different method this time."

"I don't know. You seemed to enjoy it," you say.

"Shut up!" Her voice echoes down the tunnel several times before dissipating.

Your group marches forwards. The tunnel shrinks. Soon, you worry you might have to hunch over to continue, and the last thing you want to do is have to crawl. If this place collapses, you might not ever escape. Thankfully it seems pretty sturdy in this cavern. The only reason anything broke before was because of the rampaging elemental.

After even more walking, the tunnel flattens out. It widens again, and ahead is a flat dead-end. Thankfully, you see something there. The wall looks more like a stone tablet with writing and imagery. An inscription? A door? You won't know until you get closer, so you proceed onwards. You then shine the light of your torch over the wall for all to see.

Snow walks up to it immediately and slides her palm down over the engravings. There are symbols nobody seems to recognize. It might be some sort of magic seal. But there is one part written as clear as day. She read it aloud as she feels it with the tips of her fingers. "Children of the yarn, proceed with care. All others, enter only if you dare."

"Is it a doorway?" Taiga asks. She pushes her shoulder up against it but it doesn't budge. "No knob either, so maybe not. What does it mean by proceed then?"

Yin looks around her feet. "There isn't anything else here."

"Children of the yarn." You ponder. "What kind of corny name is that? Maybe it's looking for a tailor. Or... cats? Catfolk?"

"I was drawn here for a reason," whispers Snow. "I've never felt anything like this before. I can't explain it, but my hair is standing up. I can feel a tingle through my body. It isn't a bad feeling. It's familiar, but I'm also nervous. Afraid. Yet, I feel like I need to continue."

"It sounds like a warning though." Yin wraps her arm around yours.

Snow pushes her hand forwards, and everyone looks over quickly to the sound of movement. Despite Taiga doing nothing with all of her strength, this time, it moves with hardly any effort at all. "I'm going to leave this call up to you, Kyle. Should we proceed?"

You keep your hand on the handle of your blade. "Yes. We haven't come this far just to turn back."

She nods. Then she pushes, and the heavy stone tablet turns open as easily as a regular wooden door. The other side is a blinding white light. It's made even worse by your eyes adjusted to the darkness of the cavern.

You raise your arm over your face and squint forwards, but there's still nothing there. Just white. But Snow is already moving inside. She disappears before you know it, and you can't let her go alone. You, Taiga, and Yin walk through the doorway next, and after a moment, the blindness fades, and something new comes into view.
