"Hey Mon, can I ask you something?" Josh began tentatively, not wanting to sound too suspicious.

"Sure bro, what's up?" Monica replied casually, her head still resting on his chest.

"Well, I guess I'm just curious... How long have we actually been together? Like officially dating?"

Monica lifted her head to look at him quizzically. "Uh, what do you mean? You know we've been dating for almost five years now."

Josh feigned ignorance. "Five years? Wow, I can't believe it's already been that long. So it started when you were a senior in high school, right?"

"Yep, that's right. You swept me off my feet at the homecoming dance," Monica said with a fond smile. "Why the sudden interest in our dating timeline? Don't tell me you're starting to lose track!"

"No, no, nothing like that," Josh reassured her hastily. "I was just thinking about how far we've come and wanted to reminisce a bit. I love you, sis."

"I love you too, stud," Monica purred, nuzzling into his neck affectionately. "But seriously, you better not be having second thoughts now! After all those years together, you can't just break up with me over a little morning talk."

Josh laughed nervously. "Relax, Mon, I'm not going anywhere. I was just being nostalgic, that's all. Our relationship is rock solid, especially in this brave new world of ours."

Monica giggled. "That's the spirit! Now, as much as I hate to say it, I really need to hop in the shower and get ready for class. Don't miss me too much!"

As Monica extracted herself from Josh's arms and sauntered towards the bathroom, Josh couldn't help but marvel at the radical changes to his reality. In this alternate universe, his deepest desires and most taboo fantasies had somehow become a reality.
