Prisoners of War (alone)

Anya woke up quickly, her hands instinctively searching for her gun. When she didn’t find it she searched her body armor to see if there was any weapons, her knife, her pistol, but she was completely unarmed and in what looked to be a cell. “God damn Grubs took us alive.” She said with a note of sourness in her voice. “That’ll come back to haunt them” she followed up a slight smile rising on her face.

She looked around her tiny, dark cell, but didn’t see any other person, no Cole. She slowly walked up to the bars of the cell and looked out into the large holding facility she was now able to see. It was a massive, fortified, underground, Locust stronghold with what looked to be hundreds of cells. There were hundreds, if not thousands, of Locust troops marching back and forth to every direction. There were the Theron Guards, the elite of the Locust, marching down corridors while several Kantus Priests moved to other parts of the facility. It was a bustling, busy center of activity for the Locust.

“This looks like the heart of the Locust operations,” Anya said as she surveyed everything below her, “If we could get some COG presence in here, we might be able to cripple the Locust…for good.”

Just then a loud *zap* came into her cell, sending her shockingly back. Two Theron Guards with electric prods stood right outside the cell doors, their silent, stoic faces not showing any emotion or concern for her. Anya just shook it off and rose back to her feet getting close to the bars again, “Do your worst Grub, you won’t get any information from me,” She said with a wry smile, the disdain on her face shining bright.

A Kantus High Priest parted the two Theron Guards and moved his face to the bars, his reptilian face smiling wide to show his sharp, carnivorous teeth, “...Weee don’t neeeed information Humannnn…” he said in his deep voice, “…Weee have other plannnssss..” his words emphasizing the plans part well.
