Some warming up.

While the rest of the class stuck around, Haruki sneaked out of the classroom. He would love to get to know his classmates. He really would, but he was terrified about the rest of the day. Meeting at the training grounds meant they would show off their quirks. He wanted to be on the same level as those amazing people.

He could make friends later. Gaining the respect of his peers would be a first good step, so he decided to focus on that first.

"Deku, how the fuck did you get here?!" He heard someone shout inside of the classroom. Haruki frowned for a moment. No one introduced themselves as Deku. The voice sounded really angry too, but he didn't want to pry. "You cheated, didn't you? You useless bastard!" That person clearly wasn't going to calm down. Haruki could only imagine the tension inside of the classroom, and felt pretty happy about leaving early. He didn't want to witness a fight breaking out on day one. It would only discourage him, so he continued walking through the hallways of U.A.C. The noises of the argument -- which seemed mostly one-sided -- died down in the distance.

U.A.C was massive. Once Haruki got to the training grounds, it was pretty easy to find an empty one. He started training around the field. Trying some new tricks with his quirk. The options were near limitless, he just had to figure them out and learn to use them. With his nails as his primary combat, he focused on gaining some extra mobility...

"Ugh," Haruki grunted as he fell flat on his face again. His newest trick was hard. He just couldn't get a grip on it, but he kept trying. He was trying so hard, his body was covered in bruises and he was starting to feel a bit sore.

But he was making progress, so he felt satisfied. It was time for lunch anyhow, and he wanted to catch up with some of his classmates.

Right when he made his way to the door, Haruki heard something. A whistle. He stopped in his tracks, standing completely still. Another whistle. Someone whistled, and it came from the bushes. It seemed very suspicious, and Haruki wasn't sure how to act. It could be nothing. Or a friend trying to get his attention. Then again, they would just walk up and greet him, right?
