What happens to Sarah?

Sarah apprears to be dressed unusually

In all the hubbub of class coming in, and the furtive discussion among the girls, it seems that Sarah managed to slip into class relatively unnoticed. This is the best explanation you can think of for your surprise, and the surprised hush from the rest of the class, as she stands gingerly from her desk.

You hadn't noticed earlier the fact that she was dressed up like a pervert's idea of Alice in Wonderland. Her outfit was in blues and whites, but had more in common with a fetishist 'French maid' costume than the usual jumper and jeans that she wore. Her dress was very, very short, and the fact that it had a petticoat provided only a little more modesty as her bottom was nearly exposed to the class.

As Sarah turns around at the front of the class, it is clear that the blue dress is actually completely open at the front. Only the white apron component of her outfit shielded her breasts from view, and even then, they allow a peek at some side-boob. From the front, she almost looks respectable --- of course, setting aside the short cut of her dress.

"My compliments on your outfit Sarah," says Mrs. Fletcher with stern approval. "Your diligence does you credit."

Sarah is flushing redly, her eyes not quite meeting the class. She clears her throat a couple of times. "Thank you, Mrs. Fletcher," she says just loud enough to be sure she is heard.

"Proceed," says Mrs. Fletcher.

You can't quite remember what Sarah says, but she manages to work through her mortification to give some sort of description of the meaning of Jabberwocky. Her report is less detailed than her usual performance, but seems to satisfy Mrs. Fletcher.

"Very good, Sarah, well done. Now class, we will now break into study pairs. Each girl may choose a boy to study with. Don't forget that your special assignments must be finished by the end of the week. Sarah, you may choose first."

There is much quiet confusion among the boys. The girls' eyes dart questioningly between each other, and at the boys, and then to Sarah. Sarah surveys the class.
