Your Amazed with what you see.

As you step into the habitat you realize it is different from most of the others you have seen, this one seems to be a sky line of a large city. You can't really tell how far down the buildings go you can however tell that there are at least four buildings, and one of them is 3 or so stories higher then the one for which you currently stand on the roof of. The other buildings are about the same Size or a story taller from the one your currently on.

You turn to Molly and ask " What is the deal with this habitat? It seems like a small city."

Molly nods and says " It is about two blocks by two blocks, there are smaller buildings between these ones. This habitat was made to allow the Animorphs to get use to cities should the shops ever manage to make the Animorphs mainstream enough to have them in the cities. It also doubles as a habitat for Animorphs that can fly, mainly birds and the likes. Pigeon girls, Falcon girls, and a few others like Hawks and others that are able to live with in a city. That of course includes the Seagull girls, there is a small park with a short dock and some water in this habitat as well. They live in side the buildings. There is also one other kind of Animorph in here that, after going over the files I realized it was something you should see."

You shrug and wonder what they are, But as soon as you get a moment to adjust to light in the habitat because clearly it is night time for this habitat at the moment. You realize that you are surrouded by Gargoyle girls. It takes you a minute to focus on it but they are there Gargoyle girls. They are just as beautiful as any of the others, and they seem a bit smaller then the other Animorphs as a whole. Almost about what you would consider the size of normal human, they have different skin tones and a few have minor horns and so on, but they all have arms and legs and a set of wings on there backs You also notice most of there hair is about like how yours is when your human, so they do seem a lot more like you then most of the others so far.

Molly notices that you noticed them and says " This is what I wanted to show you, they differ from normal Animorphs in that, they are human during the day. As much as they tried to make it so the Gargoyle girls turned to stone the best they could come up with is day time as human."

You laugh for a second and say" That is a bit more like from the show Gargoyles right? There was one called Demona with the ability to turn human during the day."

Molly nods and says " Well, the people who tried to create them had trouble so they used the dragon girls or a number of the others as a base but it was a lot of work and the fact they could not get them to turn to stone, they had to do something. Then someone seemed to remember a story in some old cartoons and comics and they went that direction instead. So in some degree they are closer to you and what you do then that of the other Animorphs at least til they turn themselves into Humans. Gargoyles naturally shift with night and day from one to the other, they have no control of it. You can almost set your clock to it. They are also one of the few Animorphs who always wear clothing, The Saber Tooths sometimes wear a thong or other stuff as does a few of the others but most of that is on personal preference."

You look out and notice she is right they are wearing clothing, And you notice that some of them have feathered wings, but they are still Gargoyles. Some have wings like a Dragon well others are more like a Bat, you also notice they seem to look like many of the other Animorphs just with wings and or any other form of alteration like scales. You honestly find this interesting and you realize because they are closer to your normal size if you turned into one you would be a huge version of one but for the most part it would mostly be safe, in less of course your Wolf form or Saber Tooth form took on wings as well which worries you a bit for having considered doing it. You look at the Gargoyles a second and then at Molly and just wonder as a whole how or what is going on even more so. If they can make Animorphs capable of being human then how can they be treated like pets? And if Pam and the others are able to turn into Human's because of some form of trigger. Then what is to say this is not all wrong!

Molly looks at you worried for a second and then asks " Whats the matter?"

You look at her and say " I still don't know how the Animorphs can be treated like pets? I mean Petra, and Pam have turned human and you now show me Animorphs that have always been able to turn human during half of the day because of how they are designed. So what am I suppose to think. I mean I know the Animorphs more or less get the final pick so anyone allowed to come in and pick a pet it is on the Animorphs to pick a master. But the over all deal is one of servitude."

Molly shakes her head and says " They pick, they decided. I and many others even let them decided who they mate with when the time comes. Sometimes we ask the owner or the pet to have them mate with someone one we pick in the shop but it is up to them. But most of the time they get to pick, as I did with you and Petra, and Freya and Pam. They released Freya from your ownership when she realized she had what she wanted. It is also to be noted that is why this shop is so big, they have to make room to protected and care for them all."

You shake your head a second as you consider this but a Gargoyle girl comes up to you taking a lot of interested in you, she seems to be sniffing at the air and then is looking at you. You know as well as anyone what this normally means, but she approaches you and says " You are, you are like us. But not like us." You nod.

Your response is " I half expected you to say, your a big one. I was just considering what it might be like to have wings like yours or a body like it. But I think it might leave side affects or other issues I might not be expecting."

Molly looks at you and asks " Side effects?"

You nod and say " You notice how my mane as a wolf got bigger darker and thicker? After I turned into a Saber-Tooth right?"

Molly thinks about it and nods, so you say " If I turn myself into a Gargoyle, what is to say my wolf form or Saber Tooth form would not sprout wings?"

Molly thinks about this and laughs and says " I don't think it works like that, now a pair of horns or a bit longer teeth or a number of other things may happen. But I doubt seriously that you would sprout wings if you turned into a Gargoyle Alex."

The Gargoyle that was talking to you says " You know? I was the first of are kind. I helped decided that this space would be ares to use. They wanted to put us with the other mythical creatures but in less they built a castle it just did not seem fitting. One of the original workers suggested a church. But because we can't turn to stone, they decided on the roof tops of a city. We like it enough we can glide and fly as we like, from time to time we send a few of are kind to the mythical creatures to keep a watch out for a suitable mate."

You nod and say " I guess the purpose of my coming here was to meet the elder then? Of the Gargoyles I already meet the Elder of the Saber Tooths."

The Gargoyle smiles and says " I over heard you saying something about the Cartoon, oddly enough they had named me after that character. I have seen the images my personality are nothing like hers. My name is Demona, and I am the first. And your right you are a big one aren't yeah."

You turn to Molly and ask " Was this the plan?" Molly nods so you ask the Gargoyles " Would any of you like meat bits, I was coming here and felt you might like something to eat." This of course gets them all to come over to you so you hold out the buckets'o'meat and they soon eat it all. So you take Molly's and hand it to them as well. As soon as it is all gone you hear a few of them say " Thanks" and "That was nice of you"

Demona then says " The only way honestly for you to be able to become like us is to use a pill for it, we not being one of magic or history it is hard to say. Since are bodies are made up of many parts and many of us very from one and other. It would mostly in fact be easier for you to give your wolf or saber form wings then it would be to change your body into are form. You see I over heard your concern on that as well."

You look at the Gargoyle and say " Well, If I gave my wolf or saber form wings chances are they would vanish after 30 minutes to an hour. That is if I could in fact manage to give myself wings. Which leaves me worried to try kinda."

Demona smiles at you impishly and says " Well, you could always try one of the pills and see if that works. Fact is the bird girls, in are environment are like us only with feathers. And they don't turn human during the day."

You decided to ask " I wonder how the bird girls feel about you all being able to turn human during the day?"

Demona nods and says " Most of them understand, we are of myth. Some of them the stories for the raven and hawk or eagle or many others are so strong the stories. For Gargoyles we are protectors, it could be said. We are like the wolf that became the dog or the bear or many other animals that protected others or things with all are strength should we need too. Another strange affect for the Gargoyles, is because we turn human during the day. We tend not to need much sleep, also are personality changes a bit between the two. It is hard to say or understand, but we still are who we are. Don't get me wrong we just often shift personalities a bit, For instance I get a bit more aggressive. Maybe even playful might be the best way to suggest it."

You smile and say " That is nice to know I guess, had anyone told you about me before I came here today? Or the others like me?"

Demona shakes her head but says " We can sense more then a human can, about all kinds of different natures. We can tell the good from the bad, they had considered placing a Gargoyle to welcome new customers into the shop. Because of this, it is strange but it had been considered. They are unsure if it is a side affect of us being made up of so many DNA types or not."

Molly then asks " So how old are you Demona?"

Demona looks at her hands and starts to count and then says " Me, I am 40ish I think. It is hard to know because I grew a bit slower then most Animorphs do at first, My growth rate is more like that of a human. I am mostly going to die in another 40 years or so I am told. Many of the other Gargoyles well it could be said they are expected to live a lot longer. But I am not worried or upset about it."

You then ask Molly and Demona " How was it safe to create her? I mean, they had no idea how the DNA was going to splice together or fit properly and it is unethical to keep trying and trying til something lives. I mean that is barbaric."

Molly looks at you stupid and says " A very large computer, did the math and then rendered an image of what it figured the creation would look like. They changed this and that til they finally got what she turned into. And once the computer checked the DNA compatibility and so on. It was spliced then tested again. Once the computer said it was good to make one the Doctor's must have made her. And chances are her mother was an Animorph not a human."

Demona nods and says " Yeah, you could say I am related to the other Elder you meet, she is the one who carried me to term. So in some regards I am Pam's older sister."

You nod to yourself as you think and then say " Pam, is 4th generation. And Demona would be a first generation Gargoyle. But Max said there was no First generation Animorphs here."

Demona nods and says " You are first generation, but you are human. You are what many of us had been based on. But you were created differently, we are of science. Myself and and my Brood, you are of magic. If my brood and I were of Magic then we might be able to turn to stone instead of human. That is not to say that some form of magic was not used or the base strengths of the strands of DNA are not affected by the same base style DNA you have with in you. It is just to say that we are not of mythical status it is one of the reason's I had decided we should not be with the Mythical Creatures. I felt a City High Raise more are style of are creation when I was asked."

You look at Demona and ask one more thing " When you give birth? how is the child produced?"

Demona smiles and says " Well, in myth and cartoon it was by egg. And well since I was the first. I was born normal, so I would be like the chicken that came before the egg. But the rest are hatched, as are the other bird Animorphs. We also don't sit on the eggs, they are placed under heating lamps that mimic the temperature of human body and then left to hatch. For Gargoyles the Youth take a bit longer to grow with in the egg and at around the time they are to be born we help them out of them. Some of the Gargoyles watch over the eggs as do the bird types. We each have are personality types and are preferences."

Molly nods and says " I just had a thought Alex, I know you might find this annoying. But if you were to mate with two Gargoyles, once as a wolf and once as a saber tooth, and we let the eggs hatch the offspring could be used to form a pill for you to use that will allow you to safely give yourself wings in your transformations and mostly allow them to stay til you wish to get rid of them. Thou you might need to do it with a bird as well, if your looking for feathered wings Alex."

Demona starts to purr at the idea but then says " I can't be the one to do that, sadly because I am the elder of my kind. The others would be more suited to that job then I there DNA and over all genetic structure is stronger then mine. But I would be happy to help you find one that might suit your personality. So you can at least enjoy this."

You look at Demona and say " I figured maybe you guys mated a lot like eagles do, locking together in mid air fucking for your lives and then releasing and flying off at last minute."

Demona shakes her head and flicks her tail and says " Nope, we do it from behind. We can't get on are backs so well. Some of us can fold are wings like a cape as you can see some of them doing before they take off from this roof. But others do not have that ability, I would think if your doing this to make pills. You would want people with that ability, most of the ones with wings like birds can't fold there wings like the ones that have wings like a dragon or bat or a demon so to speak. Wings like mine." She unfolds her wings and gives them a flap to make a point, they are very nice wings you like the shape and so on. They almost remind you of that of a classic style gargoyle.

Molly then says " Alex, the task here today was for you to meet and understand more about yourself. In doing that if you want to be able to give yourself wings, then we should take steps to do it safely. And others had suggested this might be the way to do it. So Demona is here to help you find suitable mates if you should decided to do this. I know I said I had just had a thought but the fact is, it is not like that. This was part of the plan should you wish to do it."

You nod and look at Demona and ask " You did not know about this at all?"

Demona nods and says " we rarely get visitors here, because of the building it is a dangerous place for many types and people. And because we can turn into people during the day and don't need sleep we tend to help take care of and tend other area's as well you may have noticed it. But some of us are on different time set ups then others. That is to say this is like mid night to me, but for others this is 12 pm. You get the idea."

You look at Demona and ask " What happen's as the egg grows in one of the Gargoyles before they lay it if they shift into a human female?"

Demona nods and says " Same reproductive organs, my bet the same as if a human female like yourself shifts in and out. But the growing off spring are what they are. Either way, or at least that is what we have noticed. If you have sex with a Gargoyle in human form as a wolf, she would end up laying an Egg to hatch that will be Like a wolf it will be hairy and everything mostly with a set of wings. You notice some of the bird types for us around that are gargoyles have scales, but that was only after given time for the shop to design that. But you will notice the Cat types or wolf type gargoyles and or others well they have fur. We don't much judge any of them by there types. It is also the reason we share this space with the bird types who wish to use the space."

You just finally nod and say " Alright if I know it is safe that helps move things along, now the next thing is I need some of your bigger Gargoyles mostly. But nothing that will make me help produce something that will end up a giant if it can be helped. Also if you lay eggs? does that mean you also lay none fertilized eggs as well?"

Demona nods and says " This way then Alex, and no we don't lay unfertilized eggs no Animorph does. But most Egg laying Animorphs lay a fertilized egg sometimes two or more. After they mate."

You look at her and say " I don't remember telling you my name, that is good to know thanks."

She smiles and comes over to you and rubs a finger across your name on your shirt and smiles and says " Well, I guess you can't always remember it is there. And no problem here to help."

You nod as she leads you off to meet at least one of the females she has in mind for you.
