make Sarah very successful

'That's it!' Tom thought. 'I'll give you something she wants. But she'll downplay it if I ask her what she'd wish for, so I'll just handle it.'

He looked straight into her eyes. "This is for you. I wish that Sarah was incredibly successful - the career she's always dreamed of, with everything changed to give her that life except that she and I still remember everything about our old lives and the coin."

Everything changed. The house completely morphed around them into a much larger and nicer place. The decor looked nothing like what they'd had before. Tom watched as Sarah changed somewhat as well. She grew several inches taller with a lankier build - almost like a fashion model but not so thin. Her features shifted as well, staying recognizable to him but probably only because he knew she was Sarah. Her clothes became quite fashionable and her jewelry simple but pricey.

She looked down and held her head a moment. "Oh," she gasped, "that's alot to take in." She looked back up at Tom. "That wasn't what I expected."

A rush of new memories filled his head, confusing him as they competed with his knowledge of the old reality. He tried to sort through them to differentiate what had changed.

"We're still married but you ... you're Sarah Staudinger now?" he asked.

She walked across the room and sat on the sofa, leaning back and casually putting one bare foot up.

"Apparently I kept my maiden name. Even weirder though, I have a different mother - Joanna. My whole history - my life changed!" She seemd very relaxed despite her words. "But it's been a very good life. I'm a very successfully fashion designer. I have my own company!"

Tom wasn't sure what to make of all this. He had thought the wish would give her a promotion or something, not make such vast changes in both their lives. "Are you okay with this?" he asked hesitantly.

She smiled. "Oh yes, Tom, this is amazing. I definitely want to try out this life!"
