Raven resists even though she wants to accept

Was it pride? Was it stubbornness? Was it self-loathing?

Raven couldn’t tell but she knew that even though she desperately wanted to accept Ssakcik’s offer, she couldn’t let herself. Even if he was right about everything, the mirror, the feelings of pity, even her lack of masturbation she simply couldn’t let him win… even if that meant she had to lose.

“I won’t submit to you. I won’t give you what you want.” Raven said between clenched teeth, unable to bring her eyes up off the floor.

“Silly girl, even if what I want is what you want?” Ssakcik asked sarcastically, “Oh well then, perhaps you are a lost cause. If I can’t break you and you won’t accept my kindness then I guess I’ll just have to leave you here. Don’t worry though, I’ll put some thought into what I should do about you and come back when I have an idea. It may be a while though, but that doesn’t really matter does it? As long as you are here you won’t age and you enjoy your solitude don’t you? I’ll be sure and have someone check in on you in a year or two if I don’t come up with a plan by then.”

Raven could here the sound of Ssakcik walking away, his heavy boots making deep echoing noises in her empty cell. She wasn’t sure if this was just another trick to try and break her or if he really was giving up.
