Chapter 9

Who lurks behind the door?
[GM] You must pay the troll
To Digit's shock, the figure stood on the porch was a lumbering green troll, so tall that he had to hunch slightly to even fit under the patio roof. He was indeed looking around the far side of the house, as if inspecting the noise, but before Digit could slip away, he turned his head and locked eyes with her.
With surprising speed for a creature his size, he bounded across the porch and snatched her out of the air, holding her entire body tightly in a single huge hand.
"Well uh, hey there Miss," he said, the tone of his voice sounding oddly refined for his beastly appearance. He scratched his head with his free hand, drawing deep gashes with his grotesquely long claws, but it didn't seem to bother him. The wounds closed themselves almost as soon as he took his hand away again. "This is uh, quite a pickle, wouldn't you say? You weren't uh, trying to escape, now, were you?"
Digit wriggled in his grasp, to no avail. "Well, I am now! What do you want?"
"Well, you see, I'm from the Troll Taxers Union," the troll explained. It was difficult to tell, since he could take in all of her with a single gaze, but Digit got the sense that his eyes were roaming over her naked body. "This property is on, uh, TTA land, you see, but we haven't been able to get in touch with the building's owner, so we're, well, owed a lot of back pay, you see."
Digit raised a single eyebrow at him. "And how does 'Troll Taxers Union' compress down into 'TTA', exactly?"
The troll sighed and rubbed his temples, plucking out of one of his eyes in the process. "It was a scribe error. By the time we noticed, the paperwork was already done." He opened his eyelids. Both eyes were present and accounted for. He looked at the eyeball skewered on his claw, and casually shook it off into the nearby grass.
[GM] You see a troll on the porch. Roll CAUTION.
[P] 2 + 6 - 0 = 8
[GM] 16 + 1 - 7 = 10
[GM] The troll notices you. Roll QUICKNESS.
[P] 3 + 3 + 0 = 6
[GM] 9 + 3 + 7 = 19
[GM] The troll dashes over to you and grabs you in one of his thick hands. He tells you that he's from the Troll Taxers Union, the TTA, and this property owes back taxes. He seems to assume that you are the occupier of the building.
[P] How does "Troll Taxers Union" shorten to "TTA"?
[GM] *Checks notes*
[GM] ...Fuck.
How will Digit handle this situation?

IMPREGNATAR | ANARCHY
A FREEFORM GAME OF SURVIVAL AND IMPREGNATION
An anarchy variant of IMPREGNATAR. While the original had a set handful of GMs, a canon timeline and balanced encounters, this version does away with balance by allowing anyone to GM any posts, including their own. This is an interactive survival story that's like a combination of D&D, Dark Souls, and Zelda. Your character awakens spawned into the middle of an unfamiliar forest. They have little memory of who they are or how they got there, and all but the faintest of survival assets. Post by post they will explore their surroundings hoping to gain skills, level up, and survive by avoiding any Bad End scenarios with a horrific (and probably kinky) fate. Or, in this case, probably experience as many Bad Ends as possible as they traverse multiple timelines.
