Our English teacher is not one to show up early so the door is still open and people are standing around talking. God, they're all here. My friends, enemies, crushes - the people I see EVERY DAY. If it wasn't for Sarah holding me upright I'm sure I would have been on the ground by now. That's how light headed I'm feeling.

"EMILY! WHAT THE HECK!?" I recognize my friend Allyson's voice.

Well, atleast with that outburst I must have gotten everyone's attention.

I'm sure they're all looking at me now, but I keep my eyes glued to the floor in front of me as Sarah pulls me into the classroom. In my daze I'm not even thinking to cover myself, just letting it all hang out.

"Isn't she cute?" I can hear Sarah ask, "I found her walking like this while I was driving to school, and I picked her up so she wouldn't be late!"

People are talking all around me, but I'm not picking up on what they're saying.

"Emily... Emily!" Allyson yanks my shoulder which breaks me out of my trance. "What the heck is going on?"

I finally look up and lock eyes with my friend. She is looking a mixture of amused and concerned. Before I can open my mouth, Sarah drops the ball: "She gambled away her clothes playing cards with her sister."

I hear people laughing.

"Is this true?" Allyson asks with a hint of laughter also in her voice.

I nod sheepishly.

"Oh my god, Emily... I knew that competitiveness would get the better of you someday! Well, at least you have cute body, so it's not the worst thing in the world," Allyson says still holding my shoulder and giving it a friendly squeeze.

People around us are agreeing with that last statement and one of the boys even whistles at me. How embarrassing!

Then suddenly I feel something.
