"Have you smoked weed before?" Cindy asked in a hush tone after looking around her to see if anyone was within earshot distance.

"No," Jonathan shook his head. "I don't drink or smoke."

"Not even beer?" she asked with a quizzical look.

"Not a drop."

"You're really that strait-laced? So you're not going to take up Allison's offer then?"

"I know it's legal now but I work for NASA and am still on active duty with the Navy Reserve," he replied. "It's not worth it for me to jeopardize my career considering how strict the US military's zero-tolerance drug and alcohol policies are."

"Well, if you don't mind I'm going join her," Cindy smiled as she stood up.

"Okay," he nodded and watched her wide hips sway as she walked towards the front door. He wondered how the next two years will be.
