When does Andrea start noticing things are off about her world?
At lunch with her friends, where she asks way too many questions
I am a character in an online erotic story.
Andrea tried to ignore that thought as she went about her morning, but no matter how hard she tried it just kept nagging at her, like an annoying insect that wouldn't stop buzzing by her face. It stuck with her as she ate breakfast, it stuck with her as she rode the bus to school with the other students, and it stuck with her as she went through her morning classes. What made it worse was that she started noticing little things that, when she thought of them, didn't make much sense. At first she ignored them, telling herself it was her imagination running wild, but they just kept adding up, and by lunchtime she couldn't stay quiet about it anymore.
So it was while she was sitting with her small group of friends at her usual table that she suddenly asked, "Hey, have you guys noticed anything... odd around school lately?"
"Odd?" her brunette friend Laura asked, "Odd how?"
"Well, for starters, isn't it odd how many of our teachers are younger women?" Andrea asked, "Ms. Green, Mrs. Fawks, Ms. Desra, Ms. Willis..."
"I don't thing it's odd," Hailey said, "Women are, like, more likely to go into education than men, right?"
"Maybe, but there's only like one teacher that's over the age of forty," Andrea said, referencing their English teacher Mrs. Yin, "And even she looks young for her age..."
As Andrea talked, Hailey jabbed her fork into her salad and brought the food up to her mouth. However, the small cherry tomato at the end fell off only inches from her mouth, landing in her exposed milky-white cleavage. The blonde girl pouted at this and took a moment to dig for the errant tomato between her DD-sized tits, sending them jiggling around as she did.
Wait a second, how do I know her boobs are double Ds? Andrea thought, I don't remember ever checking her exact bra size before. And why did I stop talking to watch her? Wait...
Andrea glanced between her friends gathered around the table. Laura was picking at her food but otherwise remaining quiet as if she was still listening intently to Andrea talking. Hailey, as mentioned previously, was digging around between her generous breasts to find that pesky tomato, inadvertently putting on a show for anyone that might have been walking by. The oddest however was her third friend Vanessa, who until now had remained so quiet she might as well not have been there at all. What really weirded Andrea out was that for the briefest of moments, Vanessa looked like little more than a woman-shaped blur. Andrea blinked, and suddenly her friend came into focus: brown skinned, dark curly hair, thick framed glasses, and by far the curviest at the table. While her C-cups weren't as big as Haley's boobs, she had by far the biggest and juiciest ass of the group, to the point that the perverts at the school called her 'Van-Ass-a' behind her back.
Andrea frowned. Why was she obsessing over her friend's breast and butt sizes so much? And why wasn't anyone saying anything? She had to have been staring at her friends for almost half a minute at this point. It's like the moment she started focusing on Haley's tits, their entire conversation ground to a halt so that she could ogle her friends.
It was at this point, when Andrea had stopped taking in her friend's physical appearance, that Haley managed to fish the tomato out, and popped it between her plush lips with a satisfied hum. Around this time, Vanessa spoke up, softly saying, "Well yeah, but Mrs. Yin takes care of herself. From what I hear, she goes to the gym every day after school."
"Huh?" Andrea said. It took her a moment to remember where she left off before she got distracted, "Oh right... well, my point is, can any of you think of a teacher here that is either visibly old or a guy?"
"What about Mr. Ellison?" Haley asked, "He's both old and a guy, right?"
"Okay, so there's one," Andrea said, "Anyone else?"
The four girls remained silent, each scouring their brains to think of another teacher at their school that fit either one of Andrea's criteria. After a long pause, Andrea said, "See? Isn't it weird that there's only one male teacher? Even our principal is a woman in her early 40s... and she's attractive like Mrs. Yin is."
"Well, they're probably workout buddies," Laura said.
"That's not my point!" Andrea said, "And it's not the only odd thing I've noticed. On the bus today, I realized that there were like twice as many girls as boys. And the guys were all over the place in terms of appearance, but every girl was at the very least cute. And it wasn't just the bus either... in the halls, in class, I always saw more girls than boys. And none of the girls were unattractive! You'd think there would be one girl here who was massively overweight, or had an ugly face-"
"Really, Andrea?" Laura said, rolling her eyes, "You're judging people on their appearance now? I thought you were better than that..."
"I'm not being judgmental!" Andrea argued, "Look around! Is there a single girl in this cafeteria that you would honestly say isn't attractive?"
Laura and Hailey started scanning the cafeteria for someone. Vanessa however looked down and meekly asked, "What about me? I'm not that attractive. I've got a fat butt, coke bottle glasses-"
"Vanessa, stop," Andrea said, taking her friend's hand into her own, "You are not unattractive. You're just insecure. Trust me, the only place you would be considered ugly is one of those stories where the guy lusts after the quiet nerdy girl and convinces her she's beautiful before he fucks the hell out of her..."
Vanessa gasped and her cheeks went red. Andrea realized in that moment what she just said, and quickly lets go of her hand, stammering, "I, I'm sorry... I didn't mean... I don't know why my mind went there..."
However, she couldn't help but answer herself in her mind, It went there because this is an erotic story.
"Um... it's okay," Vanessa said sheepishly, "I get what you mean..."
"Hey Andrea," Laura asked with a smirk, "You sure that the only reason you're thinking every girl you see is attractive is because you're realizing you like girls?"
"Yeah, there's nothing wrong with that," Hailey said, "We're not bigoted or anything. It's okay if you're gay or bi or whatever..."
"No, that's not-" Andrea sighed. She wasn't getting through to them. Maybe she really was just overreacting and being crazy. It'd certainly be the simplest explanation.
However, there was one more thing that was nagging at her, more so than anything else. It was something that she had only thought about as she was walking to the cafeteria, but that to her seemed to confirm that even if this wasn't an erotic story, something weird was going on with this school.
"Okay, forget how attractive the girls here are for a second. Can't you guys at least admit that it's weird that everyone here is eighteen?"
"Um, not really?" Hailey said, audibly confused, "I mean, we're all in the same year, and we've known each other since we were freshmen..."
"I don't mean 'here' as in this table," Andrea clarified, "I mean 'here' as in the entire school. When was the last time you saw a freshman in the halls? Or anyone under eighteen for that matter?"
Hailey opened her mouth to answer, then pouted and furrowed her brow in thought. Vanessa was silent as well, though she still looked rather flustered by what Andrea said to her. After a full minute, Laura said, "What about Samantha? She's only seventeen."
"Not anymore," Vanessa said, "Today's her eighteenth birthday. We sang Happy Birthday to her in my Spanish class."
"Oh..." Laura said with a frown, before shaking her head, "Yeah, that was the only person I could think of. That is kinda weird..."
"Kinda?" Andrea asked in disbelief, "Try completely freaky. What other high school have you ever thought of that had only seniors in it? For that to happen, the school couldn't have accepted any new students for three years! That shouldn't even be possible for a public school to do."
"Well, maybe there just weren't any new kids in town for the school to accept," Hailey said with a shrug.
"Yeah, that makes sense to me," Laura said. Vanessa silently agreed with a nod.
"How does that make any sense?!?" Andrea shouted in exasperation, "Are you seriously saying that not a single person was born in this entire town for three years straight? That not one new kid younger than us moved here?"
"Whoa, hey, calm down Andrea," Laura said, standing up and placing a hand on her shoulder, "You're starting to freak us out."
"Yeah, are you feeling okay?" Hailey asked, "It sounds like you're really stressed out."
"Of course I'm stressed out!" Andrea snapped, "I'm noticing all this weird shit today, and none of you are taking it seriously!"
The three girls looked between each other with visible concern. Turning back to Andrea, Vanessa said, "Look, we're not saying it's not weird. Just that... it's not worth getting worked up about. So what if we're all seniors? It's not like anyone's disappeared or anything. It's been this way all year."
"I... but..."
"Andrea, maybe you should go see the nurse," Laura said, "You're probably just stressed because of the math test today..."
"There's a test today?" Andrea asked.
"Oh boy, that's not good," Hailey said with a sigh, "Did you at least study this weekend?"
"I, uh..." Andrea stammered, trying to remember. As she did, she realized that her memory of what happened this weekend was incredibly hazy. If she focused, she could remember that she indeed studied for the test, but everything that happened before and after that moment in time was clouded in some undefined mental fog.
"Y-Yeah, I studied..." she said quietly, sitting back down. Why couldn't she remember what she did this weekend? She knew that she did something, probably hung out with her friends, maybe watched some movie on her computer, but she couldn't focus on any concrete details like where she went, or what movie she watched. Did she hit her head last night? Or... if this was a story, maybe it wasn't that she couldn't remember, but that whoever was writing it didn't care enough about her weekend to go into any more detail than that.
"Then you should be fine," Hailey assured her, "Ms. Green's tests aren't super hard..."
Wondering what would happen to her memory, Andrea asked, "Hey, we hung out this weekend, right?"
The girls looked at her oddly, then Laura said, "Uh, yeah. We went to the mall to see a movie, remember?"
She did. Andrea's vague memory of hanging out with her friends instantly cleared up, and she vividly remembered the four of them hanging around in the lobby of the movie theater as they waited in line to get some popcorn.
"Yeah, it was... some romantic comedy," Andrea said. Even though she saw it two days ago, Andrea couldn't remember a thing about it. "What was it called again?"
"Seriously Andrea?" Hailey asked, "Are you fucking with us right now?"
"No, I'm not," Andrea said, "Seriously, what was the name of the movie we saw? Do any of you remember?"
The table was dead silent for several seconds. Then Vanessa answered, "It was Romance in Bellevue."
This time Andrea was aware of the information suddenly popping into her head, along with the movie poster of a man and a woman embracing. But...
"Who starred in it?" she asked, "And what was it about?"
All three girls stared at her blankly for several seconds. Then Laura said, "Oh, so speaking of weird stuff, did you guys hear..."
"Hey, Laura, you didn't answer me," Andrea said, "What was the movie about?"
Andrea noticed that Laura had stopped mid-sentence as she interrupted her, as if she was waiting for Andrea to finish speaking. The second Andrea stopped however, Laura continued right where she left off, "...about Tim?"
"Hey! Do you know what was the movie about?" Andrea asked again, snapping her fingers in front of Laura's face. Laura grimaced and slapped Andrea's hand away, but didn't say anything else.
"No, I didn't hear anything about Tim," Hailey said, "What's going on with him?"
"Laura! Hailey! Why won't you answer my question?"
Even as she asked it, Andrea already knew the answer, somewhere deep down: they didn't know. None of them knew what the movie was about, because whoever was writing this story never thought of what it would be about beyond a title. And perhaps that was why they were ignoring her now, because when it became clear she wouldn't stop asking questions, the writer just had them change the topic to Tim.
But why him? It's not like any of them particularly liked him. Tim Collins was the slightly overweight black-haired nerd that was sometimes caught perving on the other girls. Andrea even suspected he might have been the one that coined the nickname 'Van-Ass-a'. She had definitely caught him staring at her butt long enough to...
...Oh no. No no no no.
If this was an erotic story of some kind, Tim would be the archetypical sweaty nerd loser main character who suddenly gets lucky somehow and sleeps with a bunch of girls. If something weird was happening around him, that wouldn't bode well for the women at this high school. The high school that Andrea realized with a sinking feeling she didn't even know the name of.
This... this is it. This is the beginning of an erotic story of some kind, and I'm not even the main fucking character! Fuck fuck fuck...
Laura leaned in and said in a low voice, "Well, I heard..."
What did Laura hear about Tim?
The Self-Aware Woman
