IC Day 9 - Not tonight

"Not tonight," you say. "I think it would be better to rest for the game."

Olga looks disappointed, but she smiles at you.

"Right," she says.

You get ready and go to bed, thinking about the news from your family. One of your sisters is pregnant, so that's exciting. Your mom said that your dad is learning English just so he can watch FUTA, which makes you feel good.

Tomorrow's game will be difficult, and you are nervous about Motoko's strategy... but Motoko seems like someone who wins things, so she is probably right. Adella, though... Adella definitely does not like this strategy. You hope it will turn out all right.

Once the lights go out and things quiet down, you were planning to discreetly touch yourself under the covers, just to make sure you don't embarrass yourself with anxiety dreams, but... someone is out of bed. You realize it's Olga. She's leaving the cabin.

Troubled, you get out of bed and sneak after her. You didn't want to sneak out, but this is weird. Where is she going by herself?

You aren't going to follow her, you are just going to ask, but before you can catch up, someone else steps out of the woods. It's a girl with green hair, Ela. Olga puts her hands on Ela's waist and kisses her right away, and it quickly gets...

You look at them, shocked for a second, then turn and go back toward the cabin in shock. That really hurts. You and Olga were not... exactly a couple yet, maybe, but still... For her to do that... You don't want to be with someone who does that. It actually hurts a lot. You thought she really liked you.

You get back to the cabin, and you are not worried about your anxiety anymore. You don't feel anxious, just sad.

Adella surprises you in the dark.

"Ingrid? What's wrong?" she asks, catching you on the way back to your bed.

"Nothing," you say. "I am sorry. I am going to bed."

She looks concerned. "OK," she says.

You get into bed and try to sleep.
