Trail

Toby seems totally focused. He speeds along in the twilight and you follow. He slows in front of the old mayor’s house. Then he stops and sniffs the air.

“She’s in there.”

Toby seems keen on tearing down the door.

“Do try the door handle first. Better we not let them know we’re here.”

Toby gives you a low growl before trying the knob. The door opens. And he steps inside.

“Do invite me in.”

“Get your ass in here.”

“Good enough.”

You step inside, eager to kill Gwen. You hear a heartbeat coming from upstairs. You glide up the circular staircase.

By the time you reach the top stair you know it isn’t Gwen. You enter into a library and see Sandra deep in a book. You silently get close to her before she even knows you’re there.

She looks up startled by your presence. She reaches for a cross. You meet her gaze,

“Stop.” You command.

There is a moment of resistance, but you crush her will.

“Come.” You beckon her.

She walks into your arms. You smell the intoxicating aroma of her blood. You kiss her neck and her heart races in fear and pleasure. You sink you fangs into her neck, savoring the flavor. You only take a little.

“Now, Sandra, you will help me, won’t you?”

“Yes, Jack.” She replies dreamily.

“First, tell me all about what Gwen has planned.”
