Try and get in through the backyard

Mrs. Miller’s house was surrounded by three other houses. Two on either side and one in the back (the one Amy saw when they entered the backyard). Mary weighed her options and she determined that her best course of action is to sneak through the house on the left which had a hole that lead to its backyard.
