Suddenly a knock on the door causes you to jump, causing the phone to slip from your hands. You quickly managed to catch it before it would smash against the floor. You sigh in relief before confirming the screen is still in one piece.

A sudden feeling of dread washed over you as you looked towards the door.

“You doing okay in there? I didn't wanna say anything but you’ve been in there a while and...Ahh!” Emma cried out.

Without wasting any time, you rushed to unlock the door and stepped out to see Emma grabbing her head with a strained look on her face

“Hey! Are you feeling alright?” you asked rushing to hold her arms to steady her.

“Yeah, it's just… I felt a really sharp pain all of a sudden but it went away almost immediately.” she explained.

You held her shoulder as you guided her down the hallway towards your room, making sure you didn't touch her skin directly. You let her sit down on your bed whether it was softer while rolling your desk chair in front of her to sit down on. The dread you felt earlier had now turned into guilt as you watched her sit there with a pained look. There was no turning back what you had done. It being accidental instead of intentional didn't matter either but you knew that if you didn’t explain yourself now then you would never be able to look her in the eye again.

“Emma, there's something I need to tell you”

You spent the next 10-15 minutes explaining everything that had happened to you since Wednesday afternoon. Getting the phone, discovering the KDK and the process you took to figure out it was actually real. After that, you went over the app's basic function of being able to control people you were in contact with. You skipped some of the more ‘intimate’ details regarding Mom and Sarah but you did tell her that they were now linked to the app and that Rebecca was on there as well but Emma seemed to read between the lines about that part. As you told her how it worked it seemed to dawn on her why you were telling her all this as she between her hands and yours.

“So let me get this straight. You're telling me that when we held hands earlier, this system or whatever, now has information about what turns me on, and you know what that is?” Emma glared angrily at you.

“Well yes and no” You answered, not meeting her eyes

“...Explain,” she said through gritted teeth.

“Well… as soon as I realised what happened, I went to the bathroom to check.” you could see her hands tense into fists and quickly carried on “But something happened that means I don't know anymore”

You saw her hands relax a little bit and looked up to see her face. She still didn't look happy but you could tell she was urging you to continue.

“As I said before the KDK level’s me up alongside other people and I unlocked something similar to a shop. There was an item on sale that would let me change someone's fetish that I planned to use at a later date but when you knocked on the door earlier, I panicked and confirmed itself to you.” You explained.

“So now you're blaming me?” she shot back at you.

“No! Of course not. It was definitely my fault but it was just shitty timing is all. The thing is the headache you had was probably caused by it which is why I rushed out”.

Emma didn't reply back and the room quickly descended into silence. You were getting increasingly anxious as time went on, knowing that there was almost no chance of this turning out well for you.

“To be honest I thought you would have more doubts about this whole thing considering what I’ve told you so far.”

“Well, this would be a pretty stupid thing to lie about and you looked really guilty when you left the bathroom. Don't take that as belief in you though. Anyway, aren't you gonna show me the app now or are you just gonna hide it?” she asked.

You were about to explain how you were supposedly the only one who could see the screen, thanks to Emma now being registered but you suddenly realised that there was still another way. You quickly loaded the app and went into the options menu, while Emma watched you. Presumably from her perspective, you were just staring at your home screen but with a few changes you hoped to change that.

Application invisibility - Set to active by default. This allows only the user to see the KDK program. All other subjects will just see the home screen(or the equivalent for the device you are using).

You turned off the setting and looked to Emma who nodded to confirm that she could now see what was on the screen. You moved from your chair to sit next to her on the bed to give her a better look before you went through the app features again. Only this time showing her the various features and extra paragraphs of information that were now available for her to see. You went through everything bit by bit until you were finally left with just the status screens.

“Before you see this I want you to promise not to tell anyone. I’m fine with you still having doubts about all this but even if that's the case, please just promise not to say anything” You pleaded.

“It’s not like anyone will believe me anyway,” she replied.

“Please just say you promise?”

“Alright fine. I promise” she confirmed. It seemed like a weight lifted off your shoulders knowing that your secret was at least contained to just the two of you. Emma seemed to notice your relief and couldn't help but comment.

“Is a promise really that important to you?” She asked quizzically “You know I could just tell the next person I see as soon as you tell me”

“Well considering you're probably the person I trust the most in the world, I guess I’m gonna have to take that chance” you admitted.

Emma didn't seem to expect a response like that and turned away to avoid your gaze before quickly changing the topic.

“Before you show me, it's gonna be showing what people’s kinks or fetishes or whatever you call them, right? But as mine has supposedly changed, what was it originally?” she asked.

“Sadism” you mumbled

“What, I didn't hear you”

“You had sadism as your fetish”

“Oh, so I’d have liked being in pain then?”

“Err… no the opposite. You would have been the sadist and not the other way around” you explained.

“OH, well that makes at least a little more sense” she agreed, nodding to herself.

“It does?!” you exclaimed, shocked to hear her thoughts.

“Well yeah, I have thought about you know… punishing you a few times when I’ve seen you talk to other girls… oh god I can't believe I just said that” Emma admitted, bringing her legs up from where she was sitting to hide her face.

You sat there for a few minutes before Emma seemed ready to carry on. Considering the last profile you had visited was Emma’s you were pretty sure hers would be the first to pop up. You shared a look between you to confirm that she was still happy to do this, before finally clicking on the status icon.
