Some Assembly Required

"So you patrol every night?" Amy asked as they walked.

"Pretty much," Buffy said.

"So..." Amy began.

"So..." Buffy followed up.

"What are we talking about?" Xander asked as he ran to catch up.

"Hey, I thought you were with Angel?" Buffy said as she looked around the graveyard. "Trouble?"

"What, no, he did his disappearing act," Xander said. "What's are you talking about?"

"Nothing at all," Amy said quickly. "Just girl gossip."

"Yep, girl gossip. You wouldn't get it."

"I think I'd..."

"Buffy, over here," they heard Angel call out.

"Right, better respond to that," Buffy said as she moved away. The whole idea of Amy being on patrol was showing her the ropes. Buffy had been hoping that they could talk about what happened, but every time one of them were about to work up the courage, they got interrupted.

She caught up with Angel to see an empty grave with an open coffin. "It looks like a new vampire has risen tonight," he told them.

"Not unless he couldn't walk," Xander said as he came up and pointed at the marks in the ground. "Looks like someone dragged something away."

Buffy spotted a white shoe on the ground. Obviously for a woman.

"Is this normal?" Amy asked.

"No, this is different," Xander answered. "Though, different is actually kind of normal for us."

Recap: Using the computer they identify the girl and find that a total of three girls from Kent Prep were killed in a car accident. They investigated the other graves and found them empty. They narrowed in on two suspects, Eric and Chris.

"We still don't know why they are doing it," Buffy said to the assembled group.

"I'd normally have a quip here, but anything would be a pretty gross," Xander replied.

"Good call," Amy said as she patted his thigh.

"Well, we have some suspects," Willow pointed out. "We just need to get them to tell us what is going on."

"I doubt it will be that easy," Giles added.

"Well, maybe it could be," Amy said. "We don't walk about and ask, but someone could get close to them, try to open up."

"Eric has the photography," Miss Calendar said. "He has to be in the computer room a lot."

"Photography and computers?" Giles asked.

"It's 1998 Rupert, welcome to the future."

As Giles shook his head Willow spoke up, "What about the body parts that Angel found? If we examine them we might be able to determine what the purpose was."

"Yeah, this is pretty gross," Amy admitted.

"Or we could take the direct route," Buffy suggested. "I'm pretty sure either Eric or Chris would crack pretty quickly with a little bit of pressure."

"No reason to limit ourselves to one course, we can split up," Giles said.

Xander leaned forward and volunteered to:

A) Pretend to be a photographer, like Eric, to get close to him (4 votes)

B) Help with the body part investigation (2 votes)

C) Take part in the intimidation angle (6 votes)
