Chapter 3

What happens next?
He awakens later.
Not again... I blacked out. What's even going on? Mateus opens his eyes, though this time he feels different. Instead of laying in the dirt, his head is on something soft like a pillow. When he raises up his hand, he doesn't seem blood anymore, and his body hardly hurts at all. When he gazes up into the sky, he sees a face above. It's the same girl as before. Though, he can barely make her out through her breasts. They're practically blocking out the sun like an eclipse. From his position, he must be on her lap! That explains the softness.
Colour starts to fill his cheeks. "Wh-What?" he mutters under his breath. "I'm so confused. Please, I--"
"Shh." She lays a hand on his chest, and brushes her other back through his hair. "You were really hurt, but don't worry. You're fine now. A healer tended to your injuries, and we were able to cleanse your clothing of blood. You might still ache a little bit, but you're back to normal... as normal as you can be."
"What does that mean?" he asks.
"Oh don't mind her," a new voice comes. It's old and faint, yet there's wisdom within the resonating tones. Mateus' eyes cast over to see an elderly man sitting cross-legged next to them. His hair is a deep shape of purple and it flows even farther down his body than the girl, though he has a beard that's just as long. It's braided with a rainbow of beads, and he wears an illustrious navy robe trimmed with gold, red, and even many gemstones inset into the fabric directly. "What she meant is that your circumstance overall is far from normal. Not only are you unarmed this far from civilization, but you wear clothes I've never seen in my life. Please tell us... Is this a new fad in Tivera?! I was hardly gone, and I feel like I'm already no longer hip to the kids!"
"... Huh? Tivera?" I could probably sit up now, but I think I better just lay here for as long as I'm allowed. This is the bed of my dreams.
"Do you have amnesia perhaps?" the girl asks.
"There are a lot of blanks in my memory, but only how I got here. I know everything else. My name's Mateus Reis. How close are we to Costa Mesa?"
They look at each other for a moment. The old man speaks up first. "I know of many places, but I've never heard of that one."
"Perhaps he hit his head too hard," she says.
Finally, he does sit up, as wonderful as that was. The confusion is starting to fluster him. "I know where I'm from! Geeze. Next you'll be telling me we're not in Cali anymore. Was I kidnapped or something?"
"You're southwest of Tivera, young lad," explains the old man.
"What state is that in?"
He strokes his beard and inspects the boy closely. "Perhaps we should start with introductions. I'm the Grand Master of Redbloom Academy, Dravus Ashdown, and this is my granddaughter."
She bows her head with a hand over her chest. "A pleasure to meet you. My name is Adriana Ashdown."
Mateus slaps his hands down against his knees. "Ooh, I get it. This is a LARP. Sorry, I really am lost though. I don't have a character or anything. I'm just Mateus, like I said. Sorry to--Wait this can't be fake. You really did heal me, didn't you? Did I imagine that?" Also no pair of breasts are that perfect in the real world. They must be implants.
"Please, look at me a moment," the Grand Master requests. "Mateus Reis. I wish to ask you something strange, but I want the honest truth. What is the name of the world you think you're from?"
"Grandfather, that--" she begins to speak.
"Ah. I insist we wait for an answer."
He looks between the two, confused. "Are you making fun of me? I'm from Earth, like everyone else."
Suddenly, the Grand Master looks deeply in thought. His eyes aren't leaving the boy for a moment. Slowly, he reaches over for what Mateus assumes is a walking stick at first until it comes fully into view. It's a beautiful golden staff with a giant red crystal being housed at the tip. He uses it to pull himself up though, and he takes a deep breath as he straightens his back. "Then you must have many questions. I can see why you're so befuddled. Adriana, please help me with something."
"Anything, grandfather," she replies.
Not far away, there's a cart of supplies with a couple other individuals. Mateus stands and watches the two gather a few things, and they come quickly back over. Now the Grand Master has a clipboard in hand, and he's scribbling something down on a piece of paper.
"I wish to send you to somewhere that may have answers," he explains. "Whether you believe it or not, this is certainly not Earth. You must travel to Tolis and speak with the Acting Grand Master straight away."
"What's happening, grandfather? What is Earth?" Adriana asks.
"A legend that can't be a coincidence. I have a very important mission for you, my dear. I need you to travel with Mateus and return to your studies along with him. Right here is an official writ granting him access to Rebloom as a student. He will have a dormitory, clothes to wear, and food to eat. I wish I could come with you, but I must finish my business here before I come home, which will hopefully not take much longer. Adriana, you must protect him until we can learn more." He removes the paper from his board, folds it up, slips it into an envelope, and hands it to a young man nearby that proceeds to press down a wax stamp seal. Then, he hands it to Mateus.
"I still don't really know what's going on. What do you mean this isn't Earth?" Mateus asks. Wait, like an isekai thing? That can't be real.
"Please, hand me a scroll of teleportation. And all will become apparent when you return to town. All I must ask of you is not to tell anybody else that you aren't native to Abso. Not only will very few believe you, but it may complicate things, namely for yourself."
Adriana takes a rolled up parchment from one of the other people and hands it to him, which he quickly unravels.
Meanwhile, Mateus looks around. He notices that one of the people nearby is a middle-aged man with rabbit ears atop his head. He can't help but stare. "A bunny?" he asks quietly. "I'm not here to judge."
"Have you not seen bunnyfolk before?" Adriana asks.
"Next you'll be asking me about elves."
She tilts her head. "I don't understand."
He turns back to see the Grand Master reciting an incantation as the words on his scroll illuminate. A strange energy wafts up around him and the girl, though she looks completely calm. Mateus has no idea what's going on. He starts to panic, but when he moves, she grabs onto him in order to keep him still, squeezing his arm between her breasts.
"You must stand still," she commands.
Well, I guess I can't complain about this position...
The old man's voice is surprisingly loud. He shouts his magic words, and Mateus' vision is blinded by light. It feels like he's falling for a moment, but after his mind ceases to spin, his eyes adjust, and he sees something remarkable around him.

Follow the titillating tales of characters in a fantasy world. Monster girls, ENF, and more! (Shared world with my other story, YPoHH.)
Unlike YPoHH, this is an anthology of shorter stories to flesh out the world and follow other characters instead. Forgive the chapter depth. The stories here will have varying lengths, but will consist of different situations that wouldn't fit in my other stories within the same setting. Whether you care about lore or not, there will be something for everyone, a long as you enjoy sexy catfolk, erotic magic, and all sorts of colourful characters. (Cover is from Sakura Succubus.) ----- We have a wiki now! Too many characters to keep track of in this setting?
