The dinner party comes and goes, with guests for the most part enjoying themselves and talking about the wedding as well as longer-term plans. Jane's mother and younger sister both show up, as well as a couple of her college friends, and Jane orders some heavily-seasoned pizzas from one of the expensive and pizza parlors in town to try and mask the overwhelming thyme aroma.

In a way, Jan had already won, and she didn't have to do a thing all evening. While the guests laughed and chatted and generally had a good time, Jane was on edge. Even with the ghost-repellant guidelines from her book, she constantly looked over her shoulder, inspected every little object for ectoplasmic ooze, and eyed her guests--and you--suspiciously for signs of spectral entry.

At one point, she even pointed accusingly at her sister Lita. "A-ha! That's not like something you would normally say!" like she had caught Jan red-handed.

Lita just looked at Jane like she had gone insane. "Yeah. Because I was quoting my coworker. I think you've had too much wine, girl."

Jane backed off, and the night continued, but your girlfriend couldn't rest easy.

On the other hand, you had a pleasant time. That was great pizza! And the constant threat of ghostly intervention meant your wife-to-be was more behaved than usual. So strange how that worked out.

After everyone said their goodbyes for the night and made plans for brunch and shopping tomorrow, apparently, you felt like maybe you could convince your girlfriend to relax, after you finished the dishes.

"...John..."

The way Jane said your name sent chills up your spine, as you looked up from the sink and froze. Jane stood in front of you, her arms at her side, frozen in place. Behind her was a ghostly Jan, those tendril-like ribbons of light piercing into Jane's back in dozens of locations, as the ghostly face of Jan rested above her shoulders.

"Oh, no need to worry, John," Jan said in a voice that sounded so distant. "This is not painful for Jane. All it does is give me control over her body. See?" Jane suddenly lifted one arm up, then the other, holding them out in front of her--and then they bent inward to bring those hands to her chest, to mash the breasts around haphazardly, not really caring about finesse.

Jane's face didn't know whether to turn red or pale at what she was being made to do, but the look of horror on her face said it all. "She's in control of everything under my face," she said, trying to look back at Jan to talk directly to her, but unable to move her head that far.

"Which I'll remind you is more courtesy than you showed me," Jan quickly replied, with a little ice in her words. It was more assertive than Jan normally had been, which struck you as odd.

"Now, Jan, hold on," you said, toweling off your hands as you stepped around the counter. Jane's legs shuffled to turn to face you wherever you went, with Jan piggybacking over the top of them, her hands never stopping their **** on the breasts. Your girlfriend struggled for her freedom to move, but Jan held tight. "This isn't like you. What Jane did to you was wrong, there's no question about that. Like you were saying, maybe if she had some of her weirder ideas, she could have at least found a way to ask you to join in instead of taking control and embarrassing you like she did. But you can be the better person here."

You had intended for that to mean that Jan should let Jane go, but she took it a very different way. "Oh, I will be the better person, for you, John! I will make Jane be a better person too, by my presence inside her. I think you will like spending eternity with me while Jane can only watch through her own eyes as I live on her behalf in true happiness with you. And I'll make her body do whatever you would like, to make sure you experience true happiness too."

"No, that's not what I--"

"Or," Jan interrupted, as Jane looked down wide-eyed as her hands were beginning to unbutton her blouse slowly, "perhaps that isn't what you want? I see. Maybe what you really want is more 'fun' than 'happy' from what I could provide! That must be why you were okay with your wife being a ghost earlier too, to explore the unusual fun that can be had with the paranormal. Instead of simply being your perfect wife, John, I can be your perfect entertainer! With Jane as my toy, my puppet, putting on an act for you. I have so many things I could do to her with this astral form that you would be astonished. Things a body should not be capable of. I just somehow know I can do it all...

Jane stumbles forward to plant Jane's body against yours, in a strange embrace, as Jane's head buries into your shoulder to muffle any protests while Jan's transparent one is fully visible in front of you. Your girlfriend's hands trail up and down your body, and Jan makes a contented face, like she's finally able to touch the thing she most desires, able to bend the rules of social norms by simply taking control of the person most suited for interacting with you like this.

"I won't go away, John. I will follow you as long as I can, now. So let me search for the best way we can spend eternity together, using your fiancée for practice!"

All you heard in response was a muffled scream in your shoulder.
