Call Carrie

You start to dial Carrie’s number, then stop. You start again. After three attempts, you let it ring.

“Hello, Nick? Is that you Nick?”

“Yah, it’s me Carrie. I’m in a weird situation and I wanted your advice.”

“If this is some attempt to get back together, forget it.”

“No, I really want your advice. My boss and my assistant want me to do some strange ceremony. It’s kinda creepy and cult like.”

“Nick, you know whatever it is you don’t have to do it.”

“But, if I don’t, I’m going to make my life miserable. This job has awesome pay and benefits.”

“Nick, I’m busy right now, but if you want a friendly ear to work through this, we can do lunch. I’ll swing by in a couple hours.”

“Thanks, Carrie! See you then.”

You hang up.

Lily walks back in, looking sexy. “We’ll have the ceremony at midnight. It’s going to be so hot. You’re going to be the best boss ever.”

“Thanks Lily. I’ll be going to lunch with a friend of mine.”
