Stick with your original plan

You walked towards Fredric Hall. You hoped that the slow but steady motion didn’t draw Anne’s attention. Even if Anne looked over, there was a good chance that she would mistake you for just another student leaving the union and headed back to the dorm.

You paused just inside the door to Fredric Hall. You held it open and listened a moment. You didn’t hear anything that sounded like someone was approaching. You hadn’t heard anything from Anne while crossing the street to indicate that she had seen you cross the street.

Confident that your plan was working, you turned left and headed back to room 102. The door was closed and there was no light coming from the crack along the bottom of the door. Still, you pushed the door open slowly. You stepped in as the lights flickered on. The room looked like it did the first time you had entered, aside from the fact that now the room was empty. You stepped back out to check the hall once more. It was empty as well. You entered the room again and pushed the door to close it. You went to the teacher’s desk and sat in the chair.

With the perfect hiding place secured, there was nothing left to do but wait for the hour to end. After that, you could go out and claim the prize.

It took less than two minutes to get bored just looking at the walls. You decided you needed to do something to make the time pass faster.
