“I can't do this,” you tell Jeremiah, handing the whip back to him.
He frowns. “Who, exactly, let you in here, anyway, Sir?” He sighs. “Never mind. I'll just have to keep you safe until TRAINER can sort you out. And, unfortunately, there are only two possible roles for you during your stay here, and you just rejected one of them.”
The garden swirls into unreality, and you're thrown into a dizzying dislocation -
and find yourself standing at the front door of the Roissy mansion, where you'd dropped O off just minutes earlier. You're wearing odd clothes...no, not odd, given the fact that you're O now.
The front door of a private home
A small green painted wooden door, on large cast iron hinges, with a doorbell on one side. The house itself is unassuming, and the door is flanked by high hedges, so you're mostly screened from the avenue to the north as you stand here. You don't draw too much comfort from that.
It's raining lightly.
