Gather the ingredient.

The forest opens into a small glade. Sun shines down through the parting of the trees, though the light is starting to dim to orange. By the time you get back, it should be dinner time. In the middle, there's a pond, and growing from an island in the center of that, there's a tree, and your eyes catch the near-shimmer of the radiant flowers sprouting up from the surface of the crystalline water. There are a least a dozen, though some are much smaller than others. The flower's shape is that of a gorgeous lotus--layers of petals spread out around a center of pollen. However, the petals are bright blue, and the center is white.

Amara kneels down, and stretches her arm out far to pluck one of the flowers from the water. She holds it up for you to take. When you grab it you can feel that it's much cooler than you expect. It feels like the flower was just taken out of a refrigerator. She stands up again, and then places her hands over yours.

"It is lovely, is it not?" she asks.

"It is."

"Perhaps I can see why it can be used to defeat something so dark."

"Both flowers have been found. Now the rest is monster hunting. I hope the others are okay."

"You are able to check, yes?"

"I can, yeah. I might as well do that now."

"Please do. I would be very sad if anything happened to them."

You take a deep breath and focus your mind. It's a strange sensation. Suddenly, you feel a connection to someplace far away, like your mind is splitting. It isn't painful, but you do nearly stumble over. Thankfully, Amara catches you and helps you regain your balance. You then slowly open your eyes. To Amara, one is now a different colour, though that eye gazes elsewhere. The vision is no longer in the forest. You shut the other eye to keep yourself from getting disoriented again and take control of the flying orb.

With wings spread, you pop from Niki's pocket and begin to flutter around. You can't speak, but you can see, and you can hear as well. It's them! The aforementioned Niki leads the charge, but the other girls are close beside her. You see Eva, Alice, and Snow. Then you see Delphi flutter beside you. One by one, they turn to face the eyeball now floating in the air nearby.

"Hey! Is that you, Kyle?" Niki asks. She waves directly in front of your vision.

"We should be there soon," Eva says. "I hope things are going well over there. I guess they are if you're able to do this."

It's grassy hills all around. Just like they said, they haven't arrived at their destination yet.

Suddenly, you see a pair of slender legs dangle down right in front of your eye. "I'm sure they're doing very well," comes Delphi's voice from above.

Alice steps up to the eyeball and bows politely. "Excuse me, but I have an idea. Will you please lift off, Delphi?"

"Oh fine," the fairy says and flutters away.

"You cannot speak, but you can move. Simply nod or shake your head, yes or no."

"You're so smart!" Eva says. She wraps the her arms around the golem-girl into an embrace. As she's very tightly squeezed, she makes a quiet, embarrassing noise.

Niki taps her chin. "I see. Did you get the flower thing?"

You nod.

"Awesome! Did you run into trouble?"

You nod again.

"That isn't much of a surprise knowing our luck, but I'm glad you made it through," says Snow. "We'll make you proud as well."

"Was it weirder than a strange, alternate universe dream world?" Eva asks.

You ponder, and then shake your head. I guess not?

Niki flexes. "Did you have to fight in another tournament?"

What kind of question is that? You shake your head.

"Sounds like a boring adventure then."

I feel offended by that.

Delphi flutters down and looks closely into your pupil. "Did you spend a portion of this adventure naked?"

You hesitate. It would be strange to say yes to that, but--

"Why didn't you answer right away?!" Eva asks.

"Sounds like a fun adventure to me," Delphi laughs.

"Give me that," Eva says as she snags your floating eye out of the air.

Niki grabs her arm and tries to wiggle it from her grip. "You're going to break it!"

"Interesting that you would be giving that lecture," Delphi mutters from above.

Snow reaches out and grabs it as well. "Please, everybody calm down!"

You let out a long sigh and shut your eyes. With another deep breath, you drop connection with the magic orb, and the strange sensation in your mind gradually fades. You open back up your eyes, and look to Amara.

"They're definitely fine," you say.
