Which path will you take?

You need to get dressed and prepare for your first evaluation with your councilor. You still can't believe they waste your time with this nonsense but you aren't going to disobey.
You head to the kitchen and flick your wrist. Your coffee maker begins to glow green and starts brewing a pot of coffee. You make your way to the bathroom to look in the mirror. Your hands become surrounded by a green aura. As you run your fingers through your hair, you see it more and more groomed until it looks fresh out of a salon. You rub your face and your beard is magically groomed too. Lastly, you snap your fingers and your pajamas transform into jeans and a yellow sweatshirt.
You pour yourself a cup of coffee and watch some more news. Your eyes turn green as you use your mind to turn your holo-vision on. The councilor will be arriving soon.
Suddenly the lights go out. You jump up and prepare for a fight. You look around but nothing appears to be there. You don't buy it. You're sure you sensed something in the room when the lights went out. You cast a light spell and the room lights up green. You find the circuit breaker but nothing you try is getting the lights back on. You walk slowly around your apartment, never leaving your fight stance.
You detect an oncoming attack. You cast a shield spell as fast as you can but it shatters and you are forced against a wall. You struggle to move as a shadowy being approaches you. It appears to be a skeleton wearing a robe made from the thickest black smoke. It swirls around him, leaving a smokey trail behind as he hovers ever closer to you. The room chills and your light spell begins to fade. You know this being.
"You are Azrael, the Grim Reaper. The Bringer of Death," you say.
"You have me at a disadvantage. What is your name?" It asks. It's voice is deep and piercing, but it also sounds flattered.
"Clayton," you reply unwavering.
"I need your help, Clayton," Azrael says.
"I'm afraid you'll find none. I am destined to be a keeper of the light, not a bringer of darkness," you state plainly.
"You have strayed so far from reason, child," Azrael laughs.
"I was thinking the same thing about you. Now kill me or release me. Either way I shall send word of your return."
"No...I have other plans for you. Breathe in the smoke," Azrael commands.
You try to fight but it's useless. Your body acts on his command and inhales the smoke. It burns your lungs and blurs your vision. You nearly pass out when suddenly you are back in your chair. Then someone knocks.
