Part of an experiment

As soon as Amy arrived at her psychology class, the teacher, Mr. Brown, took her aside: "Hey, I just wanted to inform you, that your test came back really bad. I'm afraid, you'll fail psychology."

Amy was shocked: "What? No, I can't. If I fail psychology, I won't graduate! Please can't I do something? Like a project or something?"

Mr. Brown thought for a moment, then shook his head. "No, we have no projects left. If you would've asked last week, I might have been able to give you something, but everything is taken now."

She asked, with a mix of anger and pleading in her voice: "Isn't there anything? Can't you just create a special project and assign it to me?"

Mr. Brown mumbled something, before noding: "I might have a very special proect just for you! It'll be an experiment."
