Ask the Guard where I am

I could still feel the magic within me, though not coursing through my blood anymore. I knew where to find it if I needed it again, how to tap in to that, but I had questions first.

"Well sir, it seems you've got this under control. Bring these bodies to Captain Joshum and you'll get a decent reward for your troubles."

"Of course, and pardon me, I've been in the woods for a while now, where exactly am I?"

"You're just outside of Stormwind. Where did you enter the woods from?"

Ok, just outside of Stormwind, I hadn't played WoW in a while, but I knew there was some dark forest south or something. I hoped the forests here linked up. Damnit what was it, Darkfall, Evening Glade, no, it was, it was-

"-Duskwood. I don't even know how long I've been in there."

The man chuckled as his fellow guards were looking over my kills.

"Well thank you for clearing up the woods for us. We're trying to keep the peace as best we can, but these Burning Legion are no joke. We're really appreciative of everything you adventurers have done for us." He jerked his chin towards the road, "why don't you head to Goldshire now, you've worked hard. Don't worry about the bodies, we'll bring them to the captain, you just tell him Rory sent you, he'll give you what you're owed. It's just a little ways down the road, you'll be there in no time."

"Thank you Rory, and if you guys carry the bodies, you can sell whatever parts of them you like, just so long as I get my reward."

I saw the man flash a big grin under his helmet at me "well thank you sir. If you're ever in trouble in Stormwind, you just find me 'round and I'll help you out."

"I'll do that, light's blessing to you" and my mom always said videogames were a waste of time, wouldn't she feel foolish if she saw me now.

As I stepped out of the woods and onto the road, I looked down towards where the guard had motioned, towards Goldshire and Stormwind, the former being a cozy little town, and the latter being one of the largest cities in the world, and wondered just what the actual fucking fuck was fucking happening to me right now.
