Palm on his head I have momentarily gained limited access to my teammate's mind to see and mold it to a degree. From where I stand I can see Ren's face plain as day. My hand is where I had placed mine just as I awoken my semblance and as with the corgi Zwei he remained motionless with a blank stare almost no difference than before except with a slight glazed over eyes.

Focusing on what I am doing I try to visualize what I want out of this and how to get it from the palm of my hand.

First, I extend my aura outward from my hands while at the same time I limit it to the target, the brain. Next, I hone in on that target, and using my aura see the person Ren is inside emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Then, as it becomes clear I start to see what I am able to enhance feeling, ideals, thoughts, character traits. Finally, I choose a part of him and...enhance.

His reserve personality, his reticent nature, and the near distant mind set.

"That will do." I plan to not go too far without seeing the effectiveness of at least this much in a prolonged state. Sending just a little more to keep a lasting affect.

"Ok. Ren you alright."

Nothing

"Ren? Reeen? REN!"

He looked at me still blanked faced. He just stared like he was waiting.

"You zoned out, you good?"

*Nod*

A single nod before he sat down ignoring me and pulling out a book.

Needing to test to find some limits. I approach him on his bed sitting down and cough to be ignored.

*AHEM!*

Nothing.

I leaned over and smacked my hands together.

*SMACK*

I then swipe his book and tossed it across the room then yelled.

"HEY!"

His eyes looking at where his book was then moved to finally meet mine.

"It took physical and getting loud to get his attention at least." I say to myself mentally

I chose to go for a physical test. Going for broke I raised my hand slowly and-

I swung my hand at him making contact. He did not try to evade, block, or show he it bothered him if not for the slight turn of his head I wouldn't be able to tell if I hit him or not.

He turned back to me.

"Is that it?" He said this so lifelessly as if I'm wasting his time.

He seemed mentally and emotionally caged no motive for action.

"Why didn't you dodge that, you had no reason not to?

"I couldn't be bothered."

I stare at Ren to look for any change I breath in and say it.

"I love her."

'I'll try a going a little farther.'

I say all this staring Ren in the eyes as looking for some kind of change but nothing.

"Ok. I guess" he says this with no sign of emotion.

Depressed, detached, unemotional no interest in life these were the only things that came to me to describe the person I see.

Beta Test was an astounding pass.

With my hand on his head, with my semblance, with my intent, with my power...I am changing this person that I could never haver beaten into what I could choose him to be and do what I wanted to whoever. I can only imagine what I could do to anyone else or make them do these thoughts I found them terrifying yet very exciting thinking how effective it was.

'What do I do now?'

I wonder getting over whelmed in thought. Seeing Ren go to pick up his book and started reading again. Possibilities began flooding in my head and I had my answer to an unnecessary question as I smiled feeling happiness after so long.
