"I'm sorry Miranda." You say, placing a hand on her head to stop her. "I really wish we could but, there's someone else I've got to talk to now." Miranda slowly gets back to her feet, a look of disappointment clear on her face, but she seems understanding. "It's okay, I get it." She tells you, putting a hand on your shoulder.

"You've got to talk with Matt right? To try and straighten everything out between you both?" When she says this you nod, surprised at how perceptive she must be to have noticed. But secretly you also think of someone else who you've fallen out with, who you might need to talk to. Seeing you deep in thought she delicately runs her hand across your cheek, saying, "Don't worry, you've been friends for too long for one drunken night to ruin it all." You hope that's true even though it's not exactly what you were thinking about.

"Do you want me to have a chat with Nicole, explain that it was my idea to have Sarah suck your dick, and not yours?" She asks, gently caressing your shoulder. You're amazed at how sharp Miranda really is, to have picked up on all this even while she was distracted.

"Please, if you would." You say, kissing the top of her head thankfully.

"I'll see you soon, Miranda." You say, squeezing her hands in yours. "Don't go back in the room without me." You warn, you don't want Tom or anyone else getting a hold of her. With that said you go to leave but Miranda grabs you and pulls you into a long, delicate kiss. Her soft lips press against your own as you kiss her back. She feels, and tastes and smells so wonderful that you could never leave now.

Fortunately or not Miranda breaks the kiss, allowing you to think again. "Go. I'll be waiting for you." With a final quick touch of lips she lets go and you regretfully walk away to the stairs, wondering where exactly you're going to go. Miranda is right that you should talk to Matt, but you know that shunning Sarah completely can't end well for you. As you put a hand on the bannister you look up and down both flights of stairs, and pick a direction.
