Chapter 25 by Spookity Spookity

How do you move forward from this?

A little bit of honesty and mischief.

"While Teddy isn't here," Mom starts, clearly holding a lot of tension over the situation, "what do you plan to do about that?"

"Do? I don't plan to do anything," you reply crisply. It isn't something you have to think about. You know what the right answer is. "You might have my name on you, but I don't want anything to change, Mom."

Theresa's made it perfectly clear that you can exert your feelings onto people you own, especially through your words. Maybe that could be helpful in a situation like this? Reaching forward, you take one of Mom's hands, getting her to look you in the eye. "I love you, Mom. I want you to be happy, and I don't want to jeopardize that happiness. You believe me, don't you?"

The effects of your intent become evident within seconds, your mother's free hand going over her chest. "Oh, baby... of course I do. You're right, I'm being silly." She works up a smile, cheeks lightly flush. "I should have known better than to doubt you, Gavin, I'm sorry." Wow that was easy! "I just... it came to light so suddenly and your sister said it would be easier not to bring it up." Her eyes flicked over to Theresa, who had nonchalantly gone back to eating breakfast.

"Told ya it wasn't a big deal, Mom," she mumbles past some egg.

"It most certainly is a big deal, but... well, if it were going to be anyone, at least it's Gavin. I can trust my boy. I told Teddy he was overreacting." Giving your hand a squeeze, Mom calms herself with a soft sigh, polishing off her cup of coffee.

"Yeah, Dad looked suuuper pissed." Theresa grins as she says this, but why? That girl is fearless.

"I'm not sure I'm entirely alright with it either, but I've said my piece on that already."

"Why is dad so upset," you ask. "He's been really peeved all week. Like, I can get that it's because I own you, but is it just that on its own?"

Mom sighs softly, chewing her lips a moment as she collects her thoughts. "He's just worried about me is all. I don't know a man who would be happy that another man owns his wife."

"You mean like cuckin'," Theresa blurts. Mom bristles, but keeps her head. You, however, just let your head rest on the cool dining table, trying to process the words your mother and sister are saying.

"Something like that, but this is obviously a more literal circumstance. Teddy means well. After your big confession at the table, I'm not surprised he wanted to go off."

"Yeah..." Theresa chuckles, shrugging irreverently. "Just figured it would be easier to be upfront about it than trying to hide it. That would've been even more suspicious. I'm not at all bothered by what we did. Neither are you, right Bubby?"

You can't take this. You stand, abandoning your half-eaten breakfast. "I'm... going to go for a jog." You let the implied 'alone' hang in the air, giving the two women a bashful look before marching back up to your room to change. You are not ready to talk about fucking your sister in front of your mother. Nope.

Meanwhile, Theresa and Mom hang around the table a while longer, both willing to give you a little space.

"So now that the boys are gone..." Theresa grins, leaning forward as Mom eyes her warily. "Didn't I tell you? Bubby's a good boy. He's not going to take advantage of you."

Mom huffs, cheeks turning red. "Yes, you were right, and I'm thankful for it. The way Teddy was going off about it, you would have imagined our boy was some kind of lecherous madman. Still, your little stunt did not help your father's opinion on the matter."

Theresa waves away her mother's concerns dismissively. "Oh, he'll be fine. Better he get used to it now than letting it crop up randomly down the road. And it's not going to change just because he doesn't like it."

"Did..." Mom searches for the words, eyes flicking side to side. "Did you really... proposition him just to help him with this Penny girl?"

"Oh, for sure," Theresa chirps. "I owe Bubby a lot, and this seemed like a good way to repay him. Besides... he learns fast." She bounces her eyebrows and giggles as her mother blushes brighter, averting her gaze.

"I don't need to know that, Tess dear..."

Given the signs Theresa is picking up, she's not so sure. Her grin gets wider, hazel eyes twinkling. "C'mooon, Mom. We're more than just mother and daughter now. We're Gavin's! I can't think of a stronger bond. He owns us, so you can't tell me you aren't a liiittle curious about it? I mean... really, he's good. A little rough around the edges, sure, but it was his first time! I know puh-lenty of guys who are a one-and-done half-cocked mess after just a couple of minutes."

Mom rolls her eyes, palming her chin as her leg starts to bounce irately. "Theresa, those are not appropriate things to tell your mother!"

"Aww c'mon! We're both adults, right? You're not gonna pretend your kids are innocent little angels forever, are you?"

"No... no, I suppose not. Still, Tess, don't you think you're a bit too forward?"

Theresa scoffs, her nose in the air. "If I thought being coy about things got me anywhere, I'd still be a virgin like Bubby is...was. Be proud of your son, Mom! He's very considerate."

"Not a word I usually hear people attribute to sex, dear." It's ever so slight, but there's no ignoring a tiny smile curling Mom's lips.

"I'm not sure how else to say it. He's got other boys beat on manners." The mischief leaves her eyes a moment, becoming more whimsical and warm. "Giving, I guess, would be the word. Honestly, I think he worries a little too much about others and not enough about himself. If a hot girl is trying to get you in bed, why say no?"

"Given that you're his sister, I'm more relieved that he wouldn't jump into such a thing without questions."

"No, I get that, and it's really sweet, but I was done beating around the bush. He wanted it, I wanted it, and he could use the practice."

"And you think helping him sexually is going to improve his odds with the girl he likes?"

"You remember high school, don't you Mom? Virgin boys are SO nervous and awkward. They mean well, but that lack of confidence is such a huge turn-off." Mom had to nod at that, letting her daughter continue. "If he can be more confident, then I'm sure Penny will be all over him in no time! He's nice, he's smart, he's generous, and he's not half bad to look at, either. Oh, and..." There bites her lip and giggles, bouncing her eyebrows at her mother. "He's none too small, either."

"Tess!"

"Whaaat, it's true! He's, like, the perfect size! Not too big, so he just nudges all the right places—"

"Alright alright, I get it!" Mom waves her hands, half smacking at Theresa to get her to stop. She could feel the heat emanating from her cheeks. "You don't need to sell your brother to me, I believe you!"

By the look in Theresa's eyes, she isn't anywhere near done. "Don't I?" Mom's beginnings of a jovial mood quiet at that, the woman levelling a stare at her daughter.

"And what is that supposed to mean?"

And so the seeds are planted. "Don't you think it's... convenient, Mom, that his name would appear on you the morning after you were caught in his bedroom?"

Mom's face lights up all over again, her composure broken in an instant. "Theresa, please, can we not mention that night? It's so embarrassing."

"But think about it! Think about how this week has gone. Hasn't it felt different?"

Of course it's felt different. It was a nightmare, trying to look her son in the eye after getting caught with Teddy. She knew it was foolish, messing around on the same day they moved rooms, but... well, the mood was right and things just wound up that way. Mom twirls a lock of her hair in her fingers, nibbling her lip. "I'm sure Gavin is just as embarrassed as I am about it."

"Yeah, that's true. But that's not all." Theresa's grin only grows wider as Mom regards her cautiously. "I didn't tell him I did this, but I did a little snooping about this Penny girl he's on about." She brings up a picture on her phone, sliding over to Mom. "That's from her Facebook. Notice anything interesting?"

Peering down, Mom inspects the photo, taking up the phone gingerly. She seems like a sweet girl. Pretty red hair, soft warm features; she's shapely, but wears it well. Ah, youth. She's posing with another girl, cheesing it up with a pair of big, cheery smiles. Whatever Theresa's hinting at, it isn't clicking.

Mom hands the phone back to Theresa, shaking her head. "She looks nice, dear. What are you getting at?"

With a huff, Theresa takes her phone back and digs around. "What I'm getting at... is... this!" Mom has to lean back to not get a phone upside her nose, **** to take a look at the new image being presented.

This one was far more familiar. Decades old now, the picture was of Monica herself, gathered up with some of her friends for a group shot, all smiles just like Penny's photo. Oh, her hair was such a rich brown back then. Dark and wavy, it brought out the blues of her eyes quite nicely. She was a little slimmer back in the day, but she always sported a larger figure that others. If her memory serves, the boys certainly weren't complaining about a little softness. She had glasses back then, before her sight improved on its own in later years. Looked pretty darn cute, she thought to herself.

"Okay...?" God, Mom is dense. Theresa huffs and rolls her eyes.

"You don't think the pictures look similar? Penny looks a lot like you, Mom! Wavy hair, glasses, pretty eyes, and the figure to slay lesser men."

"What?? Oh, that's... I don't..."

Theresa presses on as things start to fall into place in Mom's mind. "Gavin likes girls who look like you, Mom. Curvy and soft and sweet. They say boys do that, though; find someone like their mother. So think about that, and think about how things have played out this week."

Mom is quiet, flicking back and forth between the two photos, fingers grazing her lips. She certainly has a lot to think about, whether she wants to or not.

Theresa is a bad, bad sister.
