Lauren wakes up

When Lauren wakes up, she feels surprisingly refreshed and ready for the day. That is, until she notices a sensation that she is growing more familiar with than she ever wanted to be. She sits up slowly, feeling the cold, wet fabric on her legs, and stares down at her lap, fighting the urge to cry. She wouldn’t, she is more mature than that. She isn’t a baby… but then why did she keep…

She shakes her head, trying to clear her thoughts. “It’s because I forgot to use the bathroom,” Lauren tells herself. She wants to kick herself. She had literally told herself earlier that she needed to use the bathroom before she goes to sleep, and what did she do? Go back to sleep without using the bathroom. Of course, she pissed herself again. “It’s not going to happen again,” she says as she gets out of bed. She tosses her clothes with the others and cleans herself up again.

Once she is dressed, she casts a glance over at her bed. She could see her urine seeping into it. She knows she should probably clean her bed again, but she doesn’t feel like it. It takes forever, and she has better things to do with her time. Instead, she is going to watch TV and have some lunch, deciding that cleaning this up would be future Lauren’s problem.

Vanessa almost can’t believe it when she watches her sister leave her room to go vegetate on the couch, completely ignoring the mess. At first she thinks that maybe Lauren was just procrastinating for a few minutes, but then those minutes turned into an hour with no sign from Lauren that she was going to come back and clean it.

Vanessa couldn’t help but feel pleased with herself. She had known that sooner or later Lauren’s laziness would win over, but she hadn’t expected it to happen this soon. Making Lauren wet the bed again right after she cleaned it had been the right call. Apparently, she draws the line at cleaning her bed twice in one day. Maybe she's even starting to grow accustomed to wetting the bed? It makes Vanessa want to laugh just thinking about it. She never would have thought things would go this smoothly for her.
