Duty vs Love - The Bank Robbery

The next day Clark is at work, Lois hasn't come in but Clark hasn't even noticed he's rang Mindy 4/5 times already leaving messages apologising and asking to see her again. Perry calls Clark into his office "Now what the hell is going on son? I've got my best 2 reporters out of commission, I've got you wrapped up in some Floozie" Clark clenches his fists "and I've got Lois taking personal days cause you're wrapped up in some Floozie", "She's no floozie chief and I don't appreciate you talking about her like that" replies Clark, "Ok, ok I'm sorry but I don't appreciate her getting between the best news team in the city...my news team just promise me you'll sort things out with Lois", Clark looks at his shoes "I promise Chief"...

Meanwhile at the Metropolis first bank there's a sign hanging a donation drive for an orphanage going on that day, Mindy walks in a low cut dress with a gucci bag and empties it into the counter "I'd like donate this to some orphans please" the teller looks back at her exasperated at the thousands of dollars spread out before him as he starts counting, in the line a teller shouts "Next Please" as Jimmy Olsen approaches a burly balding 40 something with a Brooklyn accent shoves him down "It's my turn kid", "Can I help?" asks the teller, "YEAH YOU CAN START BY GIVING ALL YA MONEY AND THEN OPEN THE SAFE" he pulls out a gun, and at least 5 more customers do to "EVERYBODY DOWN, WE DON'T WANT NO HEROES" they start laughing to each other, Mindy looks over at them thinking Stop joking around idiots! One approaches Mindy "Hey pretty lady" as he pushes her down and collects her cash into the bag and makes a run for it ashe screams at the top of her voice "HEEEEEEEEELP, HEEEEEEEEELP, SUPERMAN".

Back at the planet, Perry is still talking to Clark comparing his problems with Lois to Elvis and Lisa Marie when Clark hears "EVERYBODY DOWN", and then something bone chilling " HEEEEEEEEELP SUPERMAN", it was Mindy "Chief I've got to go", "where do you think you're going son?", "Personal day" shouts Clark as he's running out the door, "PERSONAL DAY? DOES ANYBODY WORK IN HERE? IVE GOT A PAPER TO PUT OUT WHERE'S OLSEN...THE BANK???"

Superman arrives at the bank within seconds, surveying the scene 5 bank robbers equipped with standard pistols, suddenly he sees her Mindy on the ground wailing, he rushes to her rather than the criminals pointing guns at the customers, again her perfume obscures his senses "OH SUPERMAN I KNEW YOU'D SAVE US" she screamed reaching out for him, she jumps into his arms, "I'm here Mrs Church are you hurt?", "My ankle" she squels and pulls him close. The thieves are working on the safe as the other customers and tellers are pleading for Superman to help them. Superman goes to put Mindy down but she pulls him back please Superman one of them took my money it was $20,000 for the orphans, Superman surveys the scene not knowing what to do. Mindy pulls herself close her neck near his face and the perfume hits him again "PLEASE SUPERMAN", He looks at the rest of the people listen I need to get this lady to safety and then I'll be back I promise. Mindy flashes that vicious smile again he scoops her up and flies out the door as Jimmy gets a photo of the two of them.

The criminals can't believe what they're seeing as they break through the vault "I CANT BELIEVE THIS WORKED WHAT A SAP! I KNOW SHES PRETTY AND ALL BUT GOD DAMN", they start unloading the content into bags.

Meanwhile Superman is flying around the city with Mindy looking for the bag as Mindy is giving terrible descriptions of the person and the bag, and hollering in pain about her twisted ankle to keep Superman preoccupied, eventually they find the bag in a dumpster near by the bank. Superman flys back to the crime scene, police are there, thank god no-one is hurt but the bank has been cleaned out, the police chief is chewing Superman out as Mindy breezes passed approaches the teller with the bag approaches the teller "I'd like donate this to some orphans please", the teller looks at her in disbelief sure miss and starts counting, "Hey what happened to your twisted ankle?" asks the teller, "It must have untwisted itself no hurry up" she remembers herself BIG SMILE "please".

After the deposit was made Mindy saunters off, Superman stops her, grabbing her wrist, Mindy looks concerned for a second, "May I speak to you in private Mrs Church?" And with that he whisks her up to the roof of a nearby sky scraper. "What is it Superman?" She asks, "listen, I'm a close personal friend of Clark Kent" he replies, "Clarkie?", "Yes Clarkie, he told me what happened last night and he feels terrible about he hasn't felt about a woman like he does about you ever", "Oh I don't know about that what about Lois Lane?" she replies, "Not even Lois you're special to...me...him...both of us", "I love Clarkie, but after how you saved me a d held me in your arms today I'm having those feelings for you too Superman, and it's not fair for me to lead you both on" she turns away from him dramatically and tears up, "I can't possibly choose I'll have to break it off with both of you..." Those words rocked Clark, Superman whoever to his core "NO! Listen you can have us both I am..." Mindy couldn't conceal her smile still with her back to Superman "You're what? JUST TELL ME OR LET ME LIVE MY LIFE WITHOUT EITHER OF YOU IN ENDLESS SORROW" she cried..."I'M...CLARK KENT", she turns feigning disbelief "Surely not?" He shows her his stash of clothes on the roof, his daily planet badge, even with the glasses on and off..."OH CLARKIE" they kiss passionately.

Moments pass and Superman is seeing Mindy into her limo he offered to fly her back to the office but she'd rather be driven. As Superman heads back to the Daily Planet, Mindy opens the limo door where Tempus is waiting "That went spectacularly my dear", "He still cared for those people but he was willing to help me get my money, rather than save them" she replied "You know what this means Mindy, Intergang is back and operation Kryptonian Corruption can begin" they both laugh pouring Champaign.
