You can't do it.

In a moment of decision you start striding towards the door purposefully. Time for a new life and a new you! World here I come! Nothing ventured nothing gained!

Somehow despite the strength of your intentions it seems like the closer you get to the door, the slower your steps become.. you're still taking in the smoke smell, the burnt stone and wood, the scantily clad bodies lining the floor, the eerie silence. Eventually your legs seem to stop of their own accord, and you take one last look around the old place. The Guard, Steve (one of the few named characters working at the inn, along with his younger counterpart Greg) , who limped in before, although he managed that by himself, has slumped down on a chair and seems dangerously close to bleeding out, the colour in his face turning alarmingly grey. The waitress behind you has managed to put out the flames at the bar, but is also now staring into the middle distance quietly sobbing.

You're trying to ignore all this, and actually leave, when the doors open. The newest and youngest Waitress in the team, Anna, timidly shuffles in, looking round with fear in her eyes for what she might see. You realise this would have been the first attack since she arrived. She's tiny, a beautiful waif of a girl, but her well kept long blonde hair is currently matted with either blood or mud, or both, you cant tell. As she sees you standing there though, her eyes light up, the timid shuffle breaks into a run and she springs forward, throwing her arms around your body, squeezing you tight, whilst simultaneously bursting into tears too.

Dammnit.

As much as you want to, this is still your home and you can't just leave it, or the girls, like this. Also to be fair, maybe it is a good idea to try and get a bit of a better grip of your new powers, even gain a level or two, before actually heading out. The world is a dangerous place after all. You look around wondering what to do first.
