Your 'taskmanager'

Ha! Yeah, right. Elaine's just as bad, if not worse than you and Gordon. She was always getting you out of trouble by flirting with the principal, who definitely had some... issues. But hey, the guy also had a thing for petite blond goths, which she is.

To this day, you don't know if she ever actually did anything with the staff members, but you're pretty sure she wouldn't. More likely, she got just far enough to **** the hell out of them, by those terrified looks some of the male teachers would send her when they passed by. Not that you would much care if she'd done anything, considering where you've decided to live for the foreseeable future.

"Hey, look what the cat dragged in. Or, should I say, 'look what the cat ate, shat out, ate again, and barfed up on my shoe?'" she teased from the rolled-down window.

"Ah, nice to see you, little miss 'never-left-my-emo-phase.' How's MCR these days?"

"Back together and better than ever," she laughs, motioning for you two to get the hell in already.

You do, Gordon taking the backseats so he can lie down and fumble for a joint, while you slide into the passenger seat. The three of you drive to blaring base music that Elaine turns up as soon as you shut the door. Gordon passes the joint around, though your designated driver only takes a small puff before handing it to you.

"Need a clear head, this road is hell and the drivers are all idiots."

She likely speaks from experience, though you have no idea how long she's been living here. You were moving in with Gordon just a few weeks after he settled on the pad he wanted so he'd have tome to get get everything set up. The last time you saw Elaine was maybe a month ago, back at your home while she helped you pack. If she was familiar with the traffic in the area by now, she must've been moving at the same time as you.

Really, the only thing that surprises you about that is the fact that she failed to mention it, but maybe it was meant to be a surprise.
