Chapter 10 by LancetheGallade1500 LancetheGallade1500

What's next?

It's getting late

Robin was snapped out of his musings by a warm feeling on his cheek. Looking to his right, he was shocked to find the sun dipping below the horizon, its rays shining through the window onto his face.

"Is it really that late already?" he voiced out loud. "I guess I should head back then..."

'I should make a record of all the swaps that I've done. If I somehow lost track, that would be disastrous.'

He yawned as he walked back into his room. Dinner was as normal as always, which really shouldn't come as a surprise at this point. But there's something about having another person's body that made it seem like more people should notice.

He snapped himself out of his musings again. 'Come on, Robin. If you're gonna keep doing this, then do it with a pen and paper instead of just in your mind.'

On that thought he walked over to his desk, placed the remote back into its locked drawer, and began to write. First, he wrote down the list of people he had swapped with (so far, only two). Then, he recorded a few of his musings and thoughts about swapping and being swapped.

"...and so far, it seems as though my voice naturally changes to match how the body itself speaks. This, however, contradicts the idea that the manner in which we speak is based on society and culture—in other words, much of our voice is derived from learned stimuli instead of biological elements. One potential theory for why this is the case is that the body is so used to talking in one way that that particular method of talking enters muscle memory. Considering how there is precedence for muscle memory carrying over between body swaps—e.g. why one doesn't fall over upon swapping bodies due to an immediate change in center of gravity—we can assume that..."

It was in the middle of one of Robin's ramblings that Corrin entered the room.

"Hey, Robin! What are you doing?"

An honest question. Robin started to use one of the excuses he had planned out beforehand to explain any potentially strange-looking actions he might be doing. But before he did, he stopped.

'Should I share the remote with Corrin? Out of all of the Smashers, he's one of the ones I know the best. And I know that he is both trusting and trustworthy; I don't think I'd need to worry about him spilling any secrets."
