Chapter 37 by saturdaynight

What is outside the door?

Ilya, listening at the door

As soon as Lauren left the room, he felt his joints start to tighten. He was having trouble moving and felt a sudden sense of danger. This did not help him against the sudden weight of a giantess landing on him. Suddenly, his arms were pinned. He might have been able to reach his weapon, but there was no leverage to wield it in any practicable fashion. He looked up at the woman currently pinning him so effectively. It was Ilya. She rifled through his pockets and quickly pulled out the stone. Lauren attempted to resist, but still felt that same stiffness preventing his movements. He realized that it was one of Ilya's spells. She was taking no chances with him.

Finally, when she had the stone, she turned to speak with him, "I listened in at the door. Despite the apparently reality altering powers of this stone, I find myself believing very much in its power. How much have you changed with this?"

"Listen, Ilya, it was all just-"

"Perhaps I should test its power out myself?"

That quieted Lauren from his lie. He did not want to see that happen. He could win in a fight if he could resist her magic, even at her new size which was larger than before. No doubt to giver her every advantage, "I made a few changes to test it out and a few changes on our enemies."

Ilya looked at him or maybe through him, "What have you changed about me?"

Lauren decided to stick to the truth as much as possible, "My first wish was accidental, before I knew what the stone could do. I wished that you liked my music. Other than that, I wished that the trap in Teleron's dungeon was non-damaging."

Ilya flared, "And so you made me into- into this!" She gestured at her hourglass body.

"Not intentionally! The way the stone interprets wishes seems to be... lewd."

"Perhaps it was just your own subconscious that subverted your wishes?"

"I won't deny that possibility. I certainly jumped at the chance to use the power lewdly on our enemies. But I never intended to do anything to you!"

"And also Temerity and Isabella and Vorka? They have always seemed quite happy to engage in relations with you, but I am now thinking that those temperaments might have been influenced by this stone."

"If I was going to do that, wouldn't I also have changed you?" Lauren deflected with a question.

Ilya nodded. She still did not trust him, but the time had come to attempt to repair Lauren's damages, "I wish that my body was in the form it was before Lauren's wishes." Quickly she shrank down, but her breasts and derrière remained enlarged. "What?"

Lauren responded, "Teleron was immune to the wishing stone. I assume that makes it interact oddly to his curses. Also, the stone does not seem to purely undue wishes."

Ilya realized something at that moment, about the same time as Lauren: she was no longer holding him down with her weight. It was only her spell restraining him and it appeared to be weakening. The half-orc bard started to stand, occasionally faltering and stopping. Ilya had little time. No time to think, she had to stop Lauren from regaining the stone.

She spoke quickly, "I wish you didn't want the stone!"

Lauren stopped and blinked. He seemed to brush himself off, hands lingering a little longer on his new large breasts, "Right. Thanks for taking that for me. It's honestly more trouble than it's worth. I recommend against wishing for anything. Anyway, I am going to go have some sexual fun with the others. I know that isn't your thing, so I'll tell you this now. We need to keep that stone a secret. Who knows what people might wish for."

With that, he went downstairs, and Ilya had a wishing stone.

What does she do?
