Follow the lady! She might be going to something even MORE interesting, after all... ((WIP))

Yeah, well.... sure! If she's so uninterested by the smoke, then there must be something even cooler where she's headed. Plus, you get to keep her company. It's a win-win-win! There is probably a third win somewhere in there if you looked hard enough, so you're including it for safety and wiggle room.

"Hey!" You call out, chasing behind her. "Where are you going? Is it cool?"

You catch up to her, moving sluggishly and panting, but getting there all the same. She looks at you with panic as you haphazardly stumble-jog beside her.

"It- no, you wouldn't like it."

Hey! Why would she assume that? You pout. "I'm coming along, okay?"

"What- n-no, you can't-"

You cross your arms and give her a stern look. That silences her objections, and she sighs. She doesn't say any more, but she doesn't stop you from following her the rest of the way across the city. It's hard to keep up at times, but you can't give up now -- you're in way too deep!

Eventually the appeasing lady (who has a really embarrassed look at how you're bossing her around) stops her jog, which you are very thankful for. You should really get fitter.... she walks in through a door to some sort of restaurant, pulling down her hood as she does so. A bell jingles as she pushes the door in.

Well... this restaurant had better be pretty cool, or you're gonna be mad. The smoke is probably all out by now. You follow in behind her, sticking out your tongue when she glances at you over her shoulder with an exasperated look.

"H-hey, uhh... hey Troy." She says to a man behind a counter. "Can you... can you let me through?"

He peers one eye towards you.

"Both of you?"

You nod your head firmly, in a way that shows you really mean it. Surprisingly, that works, as the man behind the bar shrugs and reaches under the bar to hit some kind of switch. A passageway through the back wall opens up all of a sudden, which the woman goes to walk through. Wow, this is cool!

You stay glued to the woman (who still hasn't introduced herself), ignoring her constant puppy-dog glances that are almost begging you to change your mind. She pulls her hood back up in shame.

To be honest, you've got no business getting this far -- but there must really be something said for standing your ground and being confident! Now it looks like you're about to be let in on some kind of secret, even if you really have no idea at all of what it might be about.
