The Next Day...

Lauren groaned as she heard her alarm clock go off, reaching out to press the off button. She then let out a yawn as she sat up and stretched. She felt just a little cold and clammy for some reason, squirming uncomfortably in her big, soft, wet bed.

Wait…what was that last adjective?

With her face going as white as a sheet, Lauren removed her covers and gasped in a mixture of shock, horror, and humiliation to discover that everything was soaked! Her pajama pants, her mattress, her sheets; even her pajama shirt was wet! Her face went from egg white to crimson in mere seconds. She had actually wet herself!

“Hey, Lauren,” Vanessa said from behind the door, “are you alright?”

“I, uh, I’m fine!” Lauren lied, panic in her voice. “I’ll be out in a minute.”

“Okay then.” Vanessa responded, a small giggle in her voice. “I’m going to watch some TV for a bit.”

As Vanessa left, Lauren hurriedly jumped out of bed and gathered up her sheets and blankets to take down to the laundry room, desperately trying to compose herself as she repeatedly told herself that it was just a freak accident – no pun intended – and that it was very unlikely for it to happen again. Walking over to her dresser, Lauren opened it…only to gasp in terror when she saw that her padded bra was gone!

Where is it?! Did I leave it back at my apartment?! No, I was wearing it when I came over here the other day! Did Vanessa find it?! S-she couldn’t have! I made sure that my door was locked…didn’t I? Lauren’s thoughts were traveling three hundred miles a second as she began to panic, while also berating herself for not packing more than just that singular enhancement!

Whimpering, Lauren grabbed the bedding and held it against her as she began her quest to the laundry room. Fortunately, she had put the clothes she wore the other day through the wash last night before bed, so she had something to change into. She just had to be careful not to let Vanessa catch her. Quietly padding down the stairs (in her hurry, she had completely forgotten to put on her special shoes), Lauren prayed that she could make it without being noticed.
