Playground

Jessie lead the little woman along for a few more minutes until they reached the park. Jessie smiled as she saw that the park was filled with both parents and kids of all ages. Lauren also saw this, but her reaction was one of unadulterated terror. She looked up at Jessie one last time, looking into her face with pleading eyes; hoping that she would take her back home. Unfortunately, all Jessie did in response was giggle as she continued to lead Lauren forward, causing the little woman to let out a whimper.

After a few more minutes, Jessie stopped right next to a bench, sitting the duffle bag down on the bench before sitting down on the bench herself. Lauren took a look around her surroundings and paled. They were at the park’s playground! There were swings, a sandbox, a slide, and a jungle gym!

“Go play, sweetie.” Jessie said as she sat down on the bench.

Lauren knew that arguing with Jessie would get her nowhere, so she had to pick an area to play at. The jungle gym was too crowded with loud, screaming kids (ranging from five to eight), all under the watchful eyes of their parents; so that was out. That left the slide, the swings, and the sandbox.
