After ten minutes of scratching and barking, Lauren realized that Jessie was not going to let her back into the house. She was starting to think that using the newspaper may have been a better idea…or at least, it may have been the lesser of two evils. Sighing, Lauren began to crawl off the patio and sat down in the grass.

Truthfully, Jessie had been pretending to have not heard the scratching and barking coming from her temporary pet. However, now that Lauren was away from the door, she decided now would be a good time to put the next part of her plan to humiliate Lauren. She just needed to think about what the next part of the plan was.

Lauren whimpered a bit, wondering how this day could possibly get worse.
