A handsome older man

Eleanor wanted a break. She skirted around dancing people to the edge of the dancefloor, and stumbled a little in her heels as she transitioned from one type of flooring to the other. A hand caught her arm and kept her from falling to the floor.

"Oh, thank you," she said as strong arms set her upright. She looked up and handsome smiling face looked back at her. He was in his early 40s, probably, brown hair graying at the temples, a broad smile over a square jaw. "I...I...hi."

"Hi yourself," he said. "You okay?"

"Y-yeah," Ellie stammered, unsure why she was so nervous. "Thanks. These heels are new, I'm still getting used to them."

"Do you want to sit down for a bit? My friends and I have a table over there." He pointed off toward the corner.

"Yeah...yeah sure, that would be nice."

He led her to a table where another man and two women sat - not as old as the man who'd caught her, but definitely at least a few years older than Eleanor. "Introductions," he said. "I'm Simon, and this is Nicole, Travis, and Kat."

Nicole was a redhead, and very busty. Travis was just as handsome as Simon, though maybe less muscular, and Kat was a skinny little thing with blonde hair and piercing blue eyes. All were dressed in attractive and high-quality clubwear.

"I'm Eleanor. It's nice to meet you all."

"Here, have a seat." They scooted over in their corner booth so that Simon could sit and make room for Eleanor on the end. "Eleanor here just needed a place to get off her feet for a bit," Simon explained. He turned to Ellie. "Though of course you're perfectly welcome to hang out with us."

Eleanor blushed as all the pretty people smiled at her. "Thanks, I may do that."

They made small talk for a few minutes, then Simon flagged down a waiter and ordered a round of tequila shots for the table. They arrived quickly, and Eleanor gripped hers nervously - she'd never taken a shot of anything before, much less tequila, and hoped she didn't embarrass herself. But she mimicked what everyone else did - licked salt from her hand, downed her shot, then sucked on the lime - and the experience was intense but pleasant. She could feel the warmth of the tequila spreading in her core.

Eleanor mostly listened as the friends bantered, and found herself getting more giggly as the tequila hit. She noticed Simon's arm was behind her on the back of the booth, and she blushed. Eventually, Travis and Nicole started making out, and Ellie tried not to stare too much. Travis broke the kiss, looked up at the others, and said with a grin, "I think we're gonna go dance." Nicole followed him out of the booth with a wink.

Everybody laughed. "So," Kat said to Ellie after they left, "you go clubbing a lot?"

Ellie shook her head. "No, not often." She didn't want to say this was her first time. "It's fun though!"

"Oh it sure is," Kat nodded. "Especially if you've got someone like Mr. Moneybags here buying drinks." She pointed at Simon. "Stick with us, if for no other reason than his generosity."

Ellie looked up at him with a big grin. "I'm just a poor college student, so that sounds like a good idea."

"Listen, I'm gonna go dance too," Kat said. "See if I can't find myself somebody to make out with."

"Good luck," Simon shouted over the din as Kat walked off. He turned to Ellie. "How are you doing?"

"Good," Ellie said. "That tequila has me feeling all warm."

"Glad to hear it! What do you think you'd like to do now?"

Eleanor's heart was pounding. She knew exactly what her answer to that question was, but it was scary. But dammit, she came her tonight for a reason. She leaned into Simon, put a hand on his chest, and kissed him.
