The following morning

Trembling a bit as the sudden sense of danger that the corpse’s entrance into your world caused you to experience finally subsides, you return to the room where the four of are spending the night.
Ashley is still on guard, while Erin and Britney are cuddled up in a tight embrace, their nude bodies almost completely hidden under their blankets. Either they’ve fallen asleep really fast, or they’re simply trying their best to do so, and you don’t really feel any inclination to disturb them either way.

Still feeling a bit too jittery to go straight to sleep, you spend a little time checking out the group’s new stuff. You note happily that the policeman’s pistol is of the same calibre as the pistol that you emptied earlier, meaning that every member of your quartet can now be equipped with a gun if there’s ever need for it, which you figure that there will be.

Finally, you slip in back to sleep, and don’t wake up again before morning has come, when you find yourself being gently roused back into consciousness by, as it turns out when you flick open your eyes, Ashley.
Ashley is dressed in the same shorts and snug t-shirt that she had on when you first met, which kind of figures since she doesn’t have any other clothes to change into, and she backs away a little from you and flashes you a warm, affectionate smile as she notices that her attempts to wake have been successful.

Still somewhat groggy, you raise your arms into the air and yawn before letting out a dreamy “Good morning,” to which she responds with a cheerful “Morning, sleepyhead, you’re the last one to wake.”
“It’s because I need more beauty sleep than any of you do.” Your joke is pretty weak, and Ashley treats it more generously than it deserves to be, letting out a soft giggle which alone makes you get a bit of a hard-on.

Erin and Britney are in the room too, looking straight at you as you slowly get up on your feet. You’ve slept directly on the floor, with no blanket or anything, which means that you’re more than a little stiff and feel pretty cold and tired.
You all hunker down and share the contents of a can of conserved food, and you can’t really say that the factory-made white beans drenched in tomato sauce served cold is the single best breakfast that you’ve ever had, but it’ll have to do, and it’s still a lot better than dog food.

After that, it’s time for you all to get busy, and you find yourself being put in a position of authority by the three women, who all turn their eyes on you and wait for you to tell them what to do.

At first you hesitate a bit, but soon you make it clear that you think it best if you all operate with this house as your base for the next few days while you gather up weapons, clothes, equipment and some type of transportation, hopefully a larger car, but you’ll pretty much settle for anything at this point, even a truck.
So, the sisters’ should stay in place and keep the place secure so that no nasty surprises are waiting for you when you get back, and you and Ashley are to go out and start scrounging.

If anyone of them disagrees with your plan, they aren’t saying anything about it, and you find it rather odd to suddenly find yourself having become the leader of a small band of survivors. You know that your current location isn’t the best from a security standpoint, it’s an old office complex with plenty of possible entry points, and something smaller and more confined would be great if you managed to find it.

Thinking about that, you lead Ashley out onto the streets, you’ve got one of the pistols and the pump-action shotgun, while Ashley has the other pistol and the shotgun has been left in the care of the two sisters.
