While shopping, she spotted someone she knows

Cynder was uneasy, her eyes zipping left and right at the passing shopping goers, and Ember noticed this. The pink dragoness knew very well about her past, and it was obvious that Cynder would be awkward in large crowds, with so many eyes staring at her...

Ember decided to distract her by saying, "Hey, look, there's a jewellery shop. Let's see what they have in store."

The jewellery were pretty, dangling off hooks and clinking together in the wind. Ember pulled them off and showed them to Cynder, making a fuss about it, but the black dragoness' attention where elsewhere. Through the crowd she spotted something purple, and soon Spyro emerged out of the crowd.

For a long moment Cynder was torn. One the one hand she wanted to go over and thump Spyro good for dumping her. On the other she wanted to sob and beg and pled with him to reconsider.

And on the hypothetical third hand she just didn't want him to see her at all.
