Though feeling a bit like a stalker you decide to stay in the shop and get a better look at the young cashier while idly browsing the various things for sale, trying your best not to make your staring too obvious.
There's no other customers in the shop, except for a good looking young woman with a stroller who's soon on her way out again after buying only a few postcards, and time seem to go slowly for the girl at the counter.
Having watched her for nearly twenty minutes and starting to worry that she may be getting suspicious, you finally decide to make your leave and pick a random magazine from one of the racks and head up to the counter.
"Finding anything of interest, sir?" She queries in a neutral voice, typical for cashiers. Nothing in her grey eyes or pretty young face reveals that she's found it odd that you've been staying in the shop for so long only to buy a magazine.
"No... Nothing that can be bought for money." You say with a friendly smile, then curse yourself as you wonder what made you come up with a line like that.
"Oh, really?" She queries while taking the money from your hand, curiously raising an eyebrow at you. "What would that be?"
"Well..." You start, somehow keeping your outer calm and gentle smile even though you feel like you're about to have a nervous breakdown, then pause in mid-sentence to just look right into her eyes for a few heartbeats.
"Did anyone ever tell you that you've got the most beautiful eyes in the world?" You finally ask her, again feeling like a complete idiot.
"Uh... No..." She says for a moment looking just as stunned by your compliment as you feel, but then suddenly flash you a shy smile that you'd die for just to see just one more time. "No, noone ever told me that before."
"Really? How odd..." You mumble absent mindedly, slowly putting your newly bought magazine under your arm and making a move to leave the shop.
