Surely playing the naïve innocent would work thought Katy to herself. The officer approached her car, he was nearly 60 by the look of him, slightly rotund and his hair was grey and thinning. He had a kindly face and Katy hoped he was going to prove a soft touch. ?hi officer, I hope I haven?t done anything wrong? Katy began ?only I saw you flash your lights and I thought I had better stop incase anything was the matter, only I?m in a bit of a rush because I need to get to my uncle?s house who is sick? Katy thought this lie was particularly convincing. The officer smiled back, Katy felt his eyes quickly look her up and down, resting for a second on her breasts in her tight white t shirt and her legs on show as her denim skirt had ridden up as she drove. ?well young lady you may have been driving a little too quickly but I?m not too concerned about that, there has been a robbery at the farm and I want to know if you saw anything?? This reply threw Katy as she was not expecting it, ?um er no, um I mean I haven?t seen anything? Katy replied. ?of course not replied the officer? with that he glanced Katy?s weekend bag on the back seat. ?That?s just some things for my uncle? Katy answered before the officer asked. ?Ah yes, the sick uncle, do you mind if I take a look?? the officer asked, still smiling but now in a more business like way.
